The other half I'm not sure. Seems like a lot of you tried but failed. That is honorable. The other half of the half I don't know. I suppose this life is too easy for you. There was no trial or tribulation for you to test your mettle.

I for one am determined to prove my manhood. I grabbed my balls, jumped into the fray, and tested my mettle against other men. Congratulations on your well paying office job, but I don't accept that. My ancestors got here by fighting. I am a fighter. I will continue to fight. And my sons will continue to fight. We only get one life, and I won't lay mine down sitting in some puffed up chair. Mine is going toe to toe with the best. I only wish it was a bit harder. Killing people in robes wasn't hard. You want my weapons?!

I think our ancestors regardless of heritage would be rolling in their graves. Life is too easy for everyone, there is no struggle and no honor. Nobody has to try anymore. It is all political correctness and bullshit. You just have to breathe to survive these days.

Ok. That would be a broad issue, actually several broad issues.

As for Spartans, I dont get why so many people look up to them, Romans and Athenians were far more powerful and advanced. Although I am not surprised that those individuals do look up to Spartans. I wonder if they know that Spartan women had more autonomy and power than other women in some neighboring cultures? Maybe they might stop loving Spartans if they knew that?

They were also average at best fighters man to man, where the Spartans were superior was in phalanx. Thermopylae also had 7000 other Greeks there.

When the gun/military nuts references "molon labe" to me they might as well be saying "yeeeeeeee haaaawwwww"

So yeah I agree with your other post, I think if people really knew them they wouldn't reference them so much.
