Help the baby by buying pot from him, but hide your face so he won't remember you.

Or worse, imprint on you.

Buying the pot puts money in his diaper, and better yet, it keeps him from trying any of it - because the last thing you want is a kid with a potty mouth.

Well played good sir... well played.

/golf clap

But you should pay using rolls of nickels because that way he will have a changed diaper.

In my experience, I've known a great number of people who clearly are far beyond the norm of intelligence (problem solving, adaptability to complex new tasks/roles, etc), and none of them has mentioned Mensa. I have taken several professional IQ tests over the years, and the results range from 137 to 148, and from what I gather, that's about average for a Mensa member. Sadly though, the one person whom I've met over the years that spoke about his membership in Mensa was an immeasurable boor and braggart, which put me off of the idea permanently.

I find IQ and intelligence to be only a minor detail in life's overall picture, character, common sense, and optimism/drive seem to be far more important, so long as one isn't hopelessly unable to grasp simple concepts (as I'd imagine may present with people with IQ's below 90?).

According to some testing I had done back when i was 12 or 13 I have a fairly high IQ. Not that it matters. IQ means little in the real world.

I think intelligence is more about how curious one is about the world. The people that I find unintelligent are the people that are content knowing what that know and that's good enough.

When I started middle school, the school administered an IQ test to its brightest students. I scored in the 170s. What did I take from that? I believe that IQ tests are BS, and that I was advanced for my age which inflated my score. A 12 year old with the intelligence of an 18 year old would beast an IQ test aimed at a 12 year old. I don't feel my intelligence has significantly improved since that age.
I also took the SAT the same year and scored around a 1200. I took it again when I was 16 and had only improved to a bit over 1400. My parents always made sure I had plenty of books to read growing up, and did plenty of extra studying of subjects outside of school, I was merely better educated than the average public school student, not smarter.

You get to meet people who are also very intelligent & carry on different types of conversations with them.

I prefer to meet strippers. You can have empty and pointless conversations with them while they're naked on your lap. Also I don't feel so dirty or like I've wasted my time as I do after talking to someone in Mensa.

OK...I know a lot of you guys are smart, probably beyond my intelligence. I actually see that as a good thing. I've been in the past evaluated at over 150 IQ...but what does that really matter? Yeah, I'm smart, I pick up stuff very quickly if I'm interested in it, but does this have any merit as far as employers or just life in general other than learning tons of semi-useless crap? What does MENSA really offer anyone besides saying "Im in MENSA"?
:
Sorry, those IQ tests you can take on facebook don't really count.

You just explained the basis for the Stanford-Binet IQ test...chronological age compared to intellectual age. It also unknowingly accounted somewhat for psychological development, well before Piaget had outlined the stages we know today.

You also point out a significant misconception many hold - the duality of knowledge/education versus intelligence. While somewhat related, they are not the same thing and are often misunderstood.
