The videos were at the same time. He wasn't mocking the guy. Before or after he mocked a handicapped reporter? If it was after no one should believe it, unless you're easily duped.
well your posting history belies your claim of non-daftness.
Not like Trump has a history of mocking other people's physical features...cough...cough...Carly Fiorina...coughAnd there are videos where he is doing the same exact thing while imitating other, non disbaled, people.

But isn't the whole purpose of the oscars, academy awards, etc. to satisfy an actor's need for people to "look at me!" You won an acting award. That doesn't turn the stage you are on into a pulpit from which you should subject the american people to your political views.

bwaaa hahahahahaha... that's fucking hilarious. Evidence here points to the contrary.Perhaps we disagree on things, but to assault my intelligence is kind of rude. Furthermore, by doing that to people who think differently than you, you insulate yourself from ideas that may potentially change the way you think.

because you said so? that's convincing. and you're support went behind drumpf or hillary this past election, I'm a little fuzzy on that one.The videos were at the same time. He wasn't mocking the guy.
In all 3 instances I've seen...and given the context of each, he was clearly attempting to mimic someone who was flustered...not disabled. He shouldn't mimic as disabled in the first place. He even mimicked himself as disabled. It's odd, but that's about it, it isn't speechworthy and if she wanted to attack him I think she could have found a better way.
and there we go with 'say the same lie over and over again and it becomes the truth'How is it funny? Funny that I may be retarded as illustrated by my posts? Are you laughing at a retard now? What thread are we in again?

no, I was not.

I'll let you figure it out, you're a big boy. put on your thinking cap.So what was funny? Funny that I'm incapable of grasping the depths of my own stupidity? What are those people? Embrace your ableism for a change.

But when scientists speak up righties mock them as elitist. Neil deGrasse Tyson is an example of one who righties hate. Or maybe they just hate science. It's for career recognition, yes, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be allowed to say anything besides thanking the Academy and their family. And even if you don't think it should be a pulpit, the movies, shows and albums they make are sometimes born out of activism or social commentary. If Run the Jewels wins a music award, should they avoid talking about racist police violence despite it being a prominent theme in their albums?
This doesn't mean that celebs are always qualified to talk about social issues. But until we start looking more toward scientists and (compassionate) politicians as role models, I'd rather have actors and singers overstep their boundaries than tell them to shut up.

New ideas-
Reminds me of what the Nobel laureate Isidor Rabi said upon the discovery of the muon. For those who do not know, the muon is exactly the same as an electron from a quantum perspective. Same spin, same charge. Absolutely identical except it is about 207 times the mass of the electron. Rabi's response was "Who ordered that". The muon has no "reason" to be... anything, but there it is. Nice thing about physicists is that look at a new thing and after making sure the data is real tear into it.
But new ideas regarding politics? Few order that.
Not necessarily new ideas, but maybe just new arguments or examples regarding old or different ideas that one might not previously agree with, but are persuaded to agree with.
You were convinced of your political beliefs at one point or another, they aren't set in stone and are constantly changing or can be articulated differently based on previous experiences or discussions even.
It's possible but it's difficult to renounce one's religion be it Islam, Christianity or the political "isms" and I do argue they are of a kind because there is a faith component involved that is defended from heretics. Just look round these parts. I suppose it is in part to a desire to belong, but if there is something one detests in the "others" but defends and deflects in one's own favored self identified group then there is some serious inconsistency.
"Circle up the wagons" is what we usually see.
You stand corrected.Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't you one who came out condemning the police shooting of Michael Brown before the facts were in? You do know that the AG, Holder, and not someone you can tag as a racist went there and validated the cops story and tore apart support for Brown.
If that was the case, what are those non-right people who decided guilt in a most unscientific way? Not much of worth I'd say.
Might be worth that Tyson had something to say about how parties support science. Guess what? Republicans provide MORE support than Democrats and those were Tyson's words.
So yeah the Republicans do stupid shit. I think they are foolish, but don't get all superior because partisans as a rule aren't all that. For example Bush supported a unique program to provide low cost and important medications to third world countries and cost would not be a burden on those poor people. Obama's administration came in and strangled it in the crib.
Yeah don't get to uppity.
