If California left I imagine the northeast would eventually follow as it would have no hope of enacting broadly liberal federal policies or winning congressional majorities. The US losing its two most economically productive regions would be a devastating blow.
Without the environmental restrictions and wage protections imposed by coastal liberals, you would probably see a resurgence of manufacturing in fly over states to the extent that it would mitigate the need for imports.Not to mention it's entire western coastline -- hard to get things to/from Asia at that point.

Having lived in San Diego for a long time I sincerely doubt the people there want anything to do with Nevada or Arizona. California wouldn't 'exit' unscathed, although it would likely be more prosperous by itself than as part of the US considering it is a large net tax contributor to the federal government. If the inland empire left that would actually help California even more as that region is poverty stricken.

If she really wanted to speak out against something happening against someone who is disabled, she'd have spoken out about the live streaming torture and kidnapping of one less than a week ago.
