Well number two i'm not too sure about, i like the 1st bit in the tanker, but then when you had to play with Raiden it got really ******, and i hated that they took Snake out of it!
Then number 3 was right on it again, they really built the story on this one i think, gave you a bigger insight into Snake, and seeing the relationship with Eva develop was a really nice addition.

It's tough to take the games seriously. The second one especially, with the boing sound when you tapped the one posters, and then characters like Fatman (a fat man on roller skates) and Vamp (one guess as to what his gimmick is). Its like pro wrestling meets James Bond. There are good parts to those games, but there's so much just plain ridiculous parts (yes its just a game, but its trying to come off as serious) that it ruins the rest for me.
I do see what ur saying with this, MGS2 couldnt really decide whether it was serious or comedy... Number 3 again was right on point though i think.
As for the splinter cell comment, i've played all 4 games, and i dunno, pandora tomorrow or chaos theory were the best in my opinion. But all of them were really the same thing and i think they got a bit repetetive by the time Double Agent came along.
Overall i much preferred MGS, much more involving game.
