Hello, I bought the MG279q monitor and a Sapphire Fury tri-x.
When I bought the monitor I new that Freesync was only supported in the 23-90 FPS range. I thought that this was not a problem since I didn't need more than 90 fps.
Now I have found out that the MG279q has kinda high input lag when not running 144hz (17ms vs 5ms). It makes we wonder which setup is best.
1) Enable Freesync and use FRTC to limit the fps to 89mhz.
2) Disable Freesync and enable vsync only on games which run with more than 144fps.
3) Disable Freesync and enable vsync on all games.
I'm not a competitive gamer but I don't like lag at all. Of course that fastest would be to disable Freesync on all games, but I don't like tearing.
What to do?
