why *wouldn't* his death be in the news? he's been in the lives of millions of people.

Exactly - I'm the same age and he was the guy that everyone at school wanted to be. He was the best of the 80s.

You're 29 and MJ is the Elvis of YOUR generation? I think you missed the PURE PINNACLE of MJ hype by about 5+ years.
