I'm curious about the kids. I wonder who they want to live with. 2 of them are probably old enough to decide. I think he quit basketball to reconcile with his wife, and once he saw it was hopeless he went back to his love of basketball. I hope for the kids sake that his wife doesn't become a b*tch about custody. Too many women think they are the only parent that can provide for the children. It causes alot of emotional turmoil for everyone involved. I also don't think she will get 1/2 of his earnings and the house. Thats more than her fair 50%. Hopefully he won't settle and let her win. I hate gold diggers. I also hope the child support is put in a separate bank account and the kids can access it when they turn 21 (with a trust advisor). It doesn't take $50,000 to 100,000 a month to raise a kid. There's no telling what the payment would be. I hope he judge puts proper safeguards in place.

Bingo. There have been rumors for years about his whoring ways that had nothing to do with being with his wife. While that may make Juanita Jordan an idiot for staying with him, it doesn't make her a gold-digger when she asks for half of the marital assets. Do you really think it's good for his family when he's never home? His life is sports - he can't even retire. While he was "retired," he was playing baseball and golf all the time.

That would be correct if she was asking for half, but she isn't. She wants half his money, the home, the home furnishings, the kids. In normal divorce proceedings the home, value of the assets is subtracted from 1/2 of the money, so Juanita would be obtaining property in place of money. However, she wants well more than 1/2. Need I remind you guys that 1/2 of the home is MJ's, 1/2 of the furnishings is MJ's.

The kids are also 1/2 his too. She will have to settle for Joint Custody not sole custody. However, this is a separate issue from the property and she will realize the reality of this soon enough.

While I'm not saying MJ is a saint I'm sure she isn't either. It takes two people to make a marriage fail, not one. Even if he was the biggest whore in basketball he is still a father to those kids and she shouldn't try to take them away just because she has bad feelings about him.
