No idea? It seems to me he's got the 'freedom of speech' part down pat.

Too bad he dosent belive in the amendment right below it. Funny how a$shats like him pick and choose the rights they exercise and the ones they deny others. Typical hipocracy

Anytime you've got the Pope & the Dixie Chicks against ya, your time is up

Note to self, the Pope wears diapers & the Dixie Chicks change diapers (when their nanny is busy), seems like a conspiracy to me, maybe MM can make a movie about it...

...and if the Patriot Act part 2 is put into effect like the Bushies want, the same thing can happen here. The only difference between some of the ideologies in this administration and the one in Iraq is that here we have a congress to keep the lunatics at the White House in check.

Using the Oscars to promote his political beliefs is like Bush calling a press conference to give movie reviews. Nobody cares for my opinion, so why should we care about his?

Yeah he can say whatever the hell he wants but he is DEAD WRONG. Bush was elected fair and square......

...by the Supreme Court

or by the Electoral College as set by the US Constitution, take your pick. I believe the NYTimes did a recount of every ballot, and Bush still came out a winner.

Yeah but when u keep alot of citizen from voting in the first place (strangely in a state where the brother is governor) then something is wrong not to mention the counting od absentee ballots of ppl that voted after the deadline and so on. Read about it in Stupid white men and if u dont believe M.Moore then go read the sources from where this info is from

The point is not that Bush wasnt elected by the electoral college- which he was, but that the election had irregularities in Florida and therefore wasnt fair. Anyway elections with irregularities have to be repeated otherwise u are no better than a random Banana republic

But this aint my business it aint my country - it's just an opinion

Oh yes, the infamous "black people were kept from the polls," argument, which Jessie Jackson had extensive proof of. How many lawsuits were filed over that again? Yes, ZERO. A hack like Jessie Jackson would be chomping at the bit to bring lawsuit after lawsuit if it had been true. Guess what? It was bullshit.

Is that like the "you people" statement made by Perot?

MM has more brains in his little toe than GWB has ever used in his life. And unlike all the other liberal peaceniks, he had the balls to stand up and speak his mind for what he thought was right.

People standing up for what they believe are the people who founded this country. If you do not like freedom of speech move to russia. Or wait a few years into Bush's second term. Then you will get what you want.

Ok, the Civil Rights Commission (which has one of the most partisan Democrats you have ever seen as the chair) held hearings in Florida to determine if anybody's right to vote was suppressed. Not one person could come forward and show that they were denied their right to vote. There were no police dogs or literacy tests keeping people from voting.

Michael Moore is the to the left of the political spectrum what Rush Limbaugh is to the right side of the political spectrum. I would not take anything either says to heart, nor would I trust their research and findings.

Michael Moore makes fun of Bush for losing a popularity contest against Saddam Hussein, and then he gets booed by the most liberal gathering of democrats in the world, the Oscars. I'm not surprised, he does more to hurt his cause, than anything else.

Well said.

If you dont agree with what MM said then too bad. Name calling and putting him down may pump your own ego and give you your momentos of cheap thrills but thats about it.

He is an arrogant rude person who thinks way too much of himself. If he has something to share with the country, he should have bought some air time of his own, and used it as he saw fit. But, nooooooooooo, - he had to make a scandal of somebody else's private affair

It seems to me he's got the 'freedom of speech' part down pat.

People paid to have that ier time for themselves. They told guests to their affair, what and how they would like them to behave. He just took a dump all over those good people that presented him with an award and a chance to get some publicity as a possiblke help in his future projects. But he, being a self loving liberal, just had to spit in the faces of those people.

Well there was a list of 80,000 or so "felons" that were denyed the right to vote. Turns out these "felons" committed the crime of either sharing the same last name of a real felon or the state of Florida determined that they would commit a felony in the future, say 2007.

Assumption is the mother of all screw ups. Do not ssume, - or You will make Yourself look like an idiot, which You just did. Congrats on that, buddy!

I did not watch the Oscars, neither I am aware of the the exact sontent of his speech. All I know, is that he used somebody else's air time to promote his personal agenda, when the kind people that presented him with an award politely asked everyone to not turn it into a scandal. Why did this bright man of Yours not buy any air time himself, ig he feels so strongly about this issue?! why did he not publish an article? start an anti war campaign, without leeching off others?

typical liberal arts reject ...

After listening to his interview after the Oscars, I think he was going for "any publicity is good publicity" to sell his book & promote his movie.

I love everyone's short attention span, anyone remember this?

Michael Moore Is the 'Stupid White Man'

Filmmaker Michael Moore, who has bashed seemingly everyone on earth, has peeved Londoners with his new show "Michael Moore - Live!"

During one performance, according to the New York Post's Page Six, Moore shocked attendees of his road show by calling the passengers on the hijacked 9/11 planes "scardey-cats because they were mostly white."

His implication was that people of color, had they been a greater percentage of the planes' passengers, would have been able to disarm and disable the hijackers.

The London Independent columnist who was at the Roundhouse Theater that night said she felt "so enraged at one point we almost walked out," adding, "God save us from such stupid white men."

But Moore didn't stop with the one outburst. On one of the last nights he was scheduled, the massive moviemaker turned bellicose blusterer, fuming at his "measly $750 a night" compensation and, according to the Roundhouse manager, criticizing security, even though Moore himself was responsible for it.

"He completely lost the plot," a member of the stage crew told another London paper. "He stormed around all day screaming at everyone, even the 5-pound-an-hour bar staff, telling them how we were all con men and useless. Then he went on stage and did it in public."

Page Six reports: "At his last appearance, staffers refused to work or even open the theater's doors, forcing the lardy lefty to make a groveling apology so that the show, already an hour late, could go on."

The Panavision-packing pseudo-pachyderm proceeded to pick up and leave Great Britain the next day, much to the relief of the local populace.

Now, if he would only do the same favor for America.

MM is my hero!!!!!

If he has a problem with the war with Iraq, he should have confined his comments to that. Dredging up the last presidential election proves he is just someone who didn't like the outcome and nothing Bush could do would ever satisfy him...much like the alot of the anti-war people here.

Doesn't do much for the "movement"...such as it is.
