Michael Moore is a moron... I respected him as a writer and I own 1 of his books, but what he did at the Oscars tonight was simply stupid... He can't get over the election issue, stupid Democrat loser (Moore)...

Hi y'all very nice discussion you guys got so far... I wanted to comment on this moore dude, if it has been mentioned before.. .

I totally respect his opinion on war, he's allowed that much esp here in america(although i dont agree w/ it) I just respect him for having an opinion even if it was unpopular

However i think the stage he used was quite unappropriate... This was telecast in iraq, our troops are watchin this... this showin might either lower morale or increase it i dont know.. but i dont think it was good to show images like that to our troops protectin us.

I don't know how accurate the documentary was, but he sure got the part about Bush now winning the election right. The million dollar major newspapers recount of the Florida vote showed Bush won in all kinds of counts but lost in the count that would have mattered if the Supreme coup hadn't stopped the election so Gore couldn't win. Gore, of course, just like the exit polls showed, won the majority legal votes state wide. So effectively, the Supreme Coup elected Bush 5 to 4 in a completely partisan vote. By so doing they put a mind of very limited capacity in office which now pursues an illegal and immoral war of American Imperialism and thereby also disgraced the Court's purported independence and objectivity on which it depends for proper functioning. The court is populated by nothing but a bunch of political hacks. Bush is a disaster. We are already paying dearly for this sin against the People.

Link? I listed hundreds of links by now. The original documents and stories of the recount are expired and have been archived. I gave a list of eight links the other day. The ones that are easiest to find now are at sites which wish to remember and preserve the facts, ie partisan sites. But the original count was published just after 9/11 and burried for political reasons. Only the meaningless counts where Bush would have won were emphasized. He lost the statewide majority count though, the one that matters. You want links, look for them. The truth is out there. Gore won. Sorry.

ummm... what? the herald says it was the results of the recount that the media conducted and the statement was consistant with your above post.

i missed the adwards, but caught the clip on cnn. i sort of expected what he was going to say, but it was over the line, but then when has that stopped moore? i thought that is his MO and career which landed him the award in the first place.

but i was thinking that was soooo Fiona Apple from MTV music awards way back when, when she proclaimed the world is a bullcrap after winning her award, then promptly turned her career into the same pile o bullcrap... thus he not only sounded like an idiot, he was an unoriginal idiot.

i really enjoyed BFC tho, and would love to watch the uncut Heston interview on the dvd, but again, his speech was well, his show of freedom of speech. he may come off as an idiot, but i'm glad to be living in a country where such expression can be made without getting your head lopped off.

hope they end the "conflict" soon....
