the same reason that clinton and gore had no cameras, no recordings, no transcripts, because of the seperation/balence of powers of the executive, judicial, and legislative branches of government. For the president or vp to testify underoath, cameras, recordings and transcripts to the legislative branch would be an example of the legislative branch enacting power over the executive branch; thereby, violating the balance of powers between the three branches of government.

Executives do this all the time at board meetings. There's a lot of information to remember, and you'll get a better chance of complete answers if you have more of your high level executives at the meeting. Same with this case. And both of you stop with the insults- this is a discussion not a flame war.

I agree. What about propoganda like "support our troops." that isn't something you can debate about, it is garbage rhetoric right up there with "you're with us, or the terrorists." Ever since it has come out that a lot of american soldiers have been using what I would call terrorist like actions (abusing prisoners, etc) I haven't heard as much of the "support our troops" garbage as usual. What I don't understand is why people cannot have an intelligent discussion about politics on this board, 90% of what i see is juvenile nonsense.

Moore must be making some points about something because conservatives feel the need to attack him instead of just ignoring him.
