She probably has dealt with racism her entire life, and who the fuck asks random women to pick things up of shelves for them?
Whether or not this specific instance was racism is irrelevant, the First Lady's point is that black people face racism everywhere, which they do.
I am a Lebanese arab Christian, but I look 100% white so white people always assume it's ok to make racist comments. I don't hear racist comments every day, but at least once a week some coworker will say something involving "hajis" "ni**ers" or "spicks". White people are racist as fuck and they are even worse about Arabs than blacks!
So next time you're with your "white" Coworkers and you decide to show your shitty racist self, consider that any one of these coworkers might be an imposter!
Whoa... the privilege!
First time I decided to wade into this one, and I'm glad I did. I couldn't have imagined such a telling and juicy quote. My expectations of the mundane were underestimating her power hunger.
"Never proud of America", indeed. The two lines fit together for an open book. One word to surmise it all: abrasive.
Because you say so. Thanks, Webster.
The average American doesn't even know the Vice President, much less to pick him or the First Lady out of a lineup. Yet somehow to serve in semi-serving capacity as First Lady is something upon to be looked down. Her husband already feels entitled to believe the Constitution is a Federal Govt. fence around We the People, instead of vice versa.
I have no doubt Michelle knows better examples of racism, but it wouldn't nearly serve her agenda.
Passive-aggressive narcissists and privileged intellectual frauds. Fuck em both.
As you can see in this thread, people ask strangers for help all the time. Do you think it's exceptional because she's a woman, or did you say "random women" for no particular reason?
It's not irrelevant. It should be obvious how seeing racism in places where it isn't causes problems and contributes to a mentality that racism will always be this intangible force that never gets any better.
It's especially bad when it comes from a person who commands a lot of respect and attention.
The comment "white people are racist as fuck" is itself pretty blatantly racist, at least using the common definition and not the absurd academic definition that claims racism can't be directed towards "white" people. I would give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you simply mean that white people CAN be "racist as fuck" but when you go on to address a white audience and tell them to stop being racist then sorry, your racial prejudice is showing. I've personally never heard anyone use a racial slur like you describe in my workplace, and it doesn't sound like your "some coworker" refers to a majority.
Lol ok dude what part of white-istan do your ancestors hail from? White is not a race, it merely refers to people (in the US) who are NOT a minority.
As for the rest of your post, whatever. Call me when you face several decades of hearing your people denigrated and watching them oppressed all over the world. You have zero concept of racism because you have never faced it.

White is Caucasian and Caucasian is a race.
My people (Jews) have faced plenty of denigration and oppression all over the world, but I consider that totally irrelevant to my experience because I've personally dealt with very little of it (outside of a few people being jerks on the internet). When I see a Jewish person using historical oppression against Jewish people as a means to dismiss the behaviors of other Jewish people I consider them a fool.
YOU deem white a race by judging people on that basis. It doesn't matter how much oppression a group has received, racism is prejudice against a person based on their perceived racial traits, which in your case may simply amount to being "not a member of a racial minority group I recognize." But it's still racist. And I don't need to have personally experienced anything to correctly recognize this.
White is a color. But good try!
Seriously pathetic to see you closet racists
come out and argue that this black woman did not face racism. Laughable! Were you there?
Short people beware, asking a tall black person for help getting something off the shelf is racism. Please wait for a white (that seems to apply now to Asain, Hispanic and Caucasion) person to come by.

Lol Jews are not a race. It's a religion. Are you Israeli? Otherwise, stfu!
I have several practicing Jew friends who were adopted. How did they suddenly aquire a different race? One of them is Asian, is he a Jew or does he stay Asian?
I've only heard of one instance of white racism in the places I've worked (someone remarked to someone else and used the N-word, and I heard about it throuh someone else). Even then, it was shocking to hear...and disturbing to think about. Definitely not normal / accepted.
That's because 90% of the racism you hear you think is normal. How do you talk about Arabs? I doubt you haven't heard TONS of racist stuff said about middle easterners but that's "not racism" because 9-11, right?
Jewish is a real and distinct ethnic/genetic group. Many, many people identify as Jews who do not practice the religion of Judaism. So when you call it a religion you're being ignorant as to what people actually identify as. And I'm pretty sure very many of the Jewish people who were oppressed didn't get out of it by denouncing whatever religious beliefs they did or didn't have.
Whoever is adopted into it or converts into it is not ethnically Jewish. Yes, it's far from totally "pure" but then again no ethnic group really is.
And my mother is Israeli but I don't see what difference it makes.

Never heard anyone say anything about Arabs in my workplace.
Lol ok so I should go tell my friend he is a fake Jew? You've been fed Zionist BS that claims Jews are a cohesive race. I can be Jewish if I want. How do you know your parents weren't converts? Maybe you are the real fake Jew
LMAO quoted for future laughs

I didn't say they're "fake Jews", I said they're not "ethnically Jewish." There's a difference.
There is only one race of Homo Sapiens and they are so genetically identical to chimpanzees that were it not us doing the classification, we would be put in the same species as they. We are 98+% identical to chimps and there are varieties of mice, classified as the same species, that differ genetically by 10 And were YOU there? One reason I have no opinion, I don't have the brain defect that needs a tempest in a teapot.
