I already posted this at SD, but for those considering 9300, why not get 9450 for the same price?

2.66Ghz with 12MB L2 Cache vs 9300 2.5Ghz with only 6MB.

Its right on their main page. I did quick search and notice nobody mention this.

Definitely a hot deal if you're in the market for one. Just make sure your board supports this chip, especially if you're using an older NV 6-series chipset.

They also have the WD 1TB GP drive for $179.99 no rebates, which is decent although BB and Fry's both have the Seagate 1TB for $189.99 for a true 7200rpm drive.

WD 1TB for 179? Just last week it was $199. Good to see 1TB drives finally coming down in prices.

Microcenter has hottest deals all around lately, Q6600, WD 1TB GP, and how Q9450. Kind of unusual considering they are retail store.

Ya I think they are working really hard to change that image and also remain competitive and relevant with the online stores. For a while now they've had a chalk board and PM policy listing Newegg's CPU prices. Their other component prices are typically higher, especially with tax, but they also have sales that can make them much cheaper than online. Still I think Fry's/Outpost has the better deals by far, but still love having a MC nearby now. Also, it looks like they're looking to change their online image, as seen on their ad today:

That guarantee is one I wouldn't have expected from them in the past. Certainly making the online price same as in-store would help them here, as in the past they only offered Q6600 and E8400 in-store at sale prices.

Tuniq tower Or if you want totally silent you could try an electrostatic ion generator: Inventgeek or v2. edit: v3 (just the heatsink)

Got 1 back from MC. Running 3.6g stable @1.248v. I do need get the temp down as it's hitting 75 when primed.

Thats a little warm, but not a huge worry if your not at 100% all the time.
