Thanks for the deal, got it on the 52x burner, hopefully it's a lite-on.

Microcenter is actually one of the few computer stores that still has decent service, at least in B&M. They have only been doing online purchasing for about a year. I ordered In-store pickup anyways, it's 3 miles up the road from me.

Just got back from a B&M store here in columbus. Would not give me the $59.99 price for the Maxtor HDD. I was told that if I ordered it online, opted for store pickup, I still would not get the $59.99 price. Microcenter is bullshit.

Not true, Shademeister. Ordered one online and picked it up at the Bethel Rd store. Someone's feeding you a line of BS!

You HAVE to be kidding me! That's the store I was talking about! You ordered the Maxtor HDD online, and picked it up, and it was $59.99?

Looks like I have to eat my words, I was told the exact same crap at our store in Marietta, GA. So much for customer service... They would not honor the price, saying it was a mistake on the website. Looks like we the consumer are paying for the mistakes they make...

Are they on their site? Cause I can't find them.

It's a 10 cd pack for $1.43 a piece.

10 packs x 1.43 each = $14.30

shipping kills the deal, so hopefully you can pick them up

yea you can use the store pickup option

So, what's the story with in-store pickup? Can you just go anytime with a printed order sheet? I haven't received any e-mail from microcenter yet.

TIA,

I just got back from the St. Louis Park store in MN. They didn't have a problem with matching the online price. I had tried several times since last night to order online for in store pick up but the site kept saying my address didn't match my credit card. So I just printed out the order page and took it to the store. They adjusted the price on the items I wanted. I only bought small items, though, so maybe they would've not done it if I had tried for one of the "bigger" deals. (I just got some iConcept PDA stuff and Neon CDRs mostly).

This had better be wrong, because I just ordered the Maxtor HD for $59.99 from their website for pickup at the Chicago store. I'll let you know how it goes.

I was sent a Buslink drive from their Columbus warehouse. It says Justlink on the box, not Smartburn, as stated on the website. Leads me to believe that it's not a Lite-on. The picture on the box is definitely not a Lite-On. I've heard it's an Aopen and it's fugly!

Fairfax, VA store is just down the road, so hope I can switch this POS for a Lite-on.

The 25 foot cat5e Belkin cable isnt straight cat5e - its patch cable! May not be a big deal, but thought I'd let you guys know. I just got my shipment in today - shipping was bad, but I think I got a good deal:
2 optical mice - 4.99 each 9.98 total
5 usb 2.0 6 foot connectors .99 each 4.95 total
3 belkin snagless cat 5 gray 25 foot cables 1.99 each 5.97 total

total cost: 20.90
shipping 14.90 (it did come next day....)

34.90 total.

Not fantastic, but not bad. Wish the shipping was more reasonable....

I bought a 48X Buslink at BB and had two rebates, 1 BB, the other BL. The BB showed up in a few weeks, Buslink 2 months. I was sure it was not going to show up. I gave the drive to my son.(Dads are cool)...duh (kids get all the cool sh*t!) so now I have to get another! Still can't beat the price and my was a rebadge lite-on.

??? What's wrong with a patch cable?

Aside from that, I got in on this deal. Ordered online and picked up here in Santa Clara. Process was easy and painless. Thanks for the deal!

Update: I ordered the Maxtor 40GB HD for $60 and the $5 optical mouse online last night. I received a confirmation email today, that said I needed to print out the email and bring my credit card to Microcenter (Chicago) to pick it up.

I picked up my order today. Even though I forgot to bring my email printout, I had no trouble getting my order. Thanks for the heads up, Tung!

Finally got my order today. I actually got lucky on the Buslink burner. There were "Justburns" all over the place, so I figured I would get one as well. Got my order, didn't even bother to check it til I got home, but I guess I got lucky; Saw "Smartburn" and confirmed its a Lite-On LTR-52246S

The USB 2.0 hub is really small, only problem is the included cord is tiny. Gonna need an extension for it. Anyways, good deal, thanks for the heads up.
