At least Frys gave us the single register queue line, a concept Microcenter and then Best Buy copied eventually. It is sad to see it die though. I didn't even make it to the Frys in Vegas when I was there two years ago for VS Live.

I've only been into Fry's about 3 times in my life, that's about 4 times too many. Thankfully, we have a MicroCenter here, too.

Ha! That was about the last time I was in... my MIL"s old crusty single-core AMD Emachine PSU bit the dust and I needed a new PSU ASAP. All they had was some crazy Leapers [sp] ATX unit, that thankfully fit and works to this day. They need a MicroCenter in Las Vegas!

The Hot Deals section is feeling like a Fry's. Years ago it seems like there were always new deals coming and going.

But i did snag a 2600x at $80 for my son. He's moving from console to PC. With the PS5 specs out there, I really didn't want to go below 8 cores, but dang, couldn't pass up the deal. I forgot about the hot VRM issue with Gigabyte and got the B450M Aorus. He's not going to overclock, so maybe he's fine. Maybe I'll take it back and get something else.

Oof, power supplies and cases sure have gone up in price.

Wouldn’t surprise me if there was some in store (as in we are overstocked) 3800x promo.
When I picked up mine I was set to get a 3700x until I was told I could get a 3800x for $20 more.
