Wow there must be a glut of product that needs to be moved.
What I don't get is why they produce so much inventory then? Same for OEMs. Why not keep the inventories lower so they don't have to sell it off at huge discounts?
Have they misjudged the demand so much? And for several CPU generations in a row?
Less tinfoil. Microcenter ALWAYS do great super deals.
Again, history is your friend. 4770K was 269.99$ last year. And they even sold it for 199.99$ at one time. 229$ for i7 2600K etc.
I bought my first 2500K on BF for $150... those were the days!
That 199 4770k is ridiculously good value.Less tinfoil. Microcenter ALWAYS do great super deals.

Picked up a 2550k during the $150 deal they had. Chip was a beast! Long gone now, guy doesn't even know it's the fastest on the planet. Crapped out at 5604.4MHZ on water.

As usual you didn't understand my post and completely missed the point.
The point was not Microcenter specifically, but the market in general. They've been overstocking CPUs and computers for the last CPU generations, then being forced to sell them at a discount. They also intentionally delay introducing new models to get rid of the old ones. There's still lots of unsold old stuff in the retail channels.

Let me guess, you got zero evidence to supply as always? Not to mention history owned you again.
Just check what's in the stores. You'd be blind not to see it.
As expected, you couldn't deliver on your homemade speculation. Remember your double standards again?
It's so obvious there is no need for any specific reference. Are you denying that the stores are filled with old stuff?

Certain stores or all stores?
I see 6700K at 335$ and 4790K at 325$ here.
The problem for you is you cant document anything because you are just doing random guesses in the direction you wish to do (anti Intel campaign). While completely forgetting how the retail outlet works.
It's not about Intel vs AMD. There stores are full of old stuff from both companies. Are you really denying that!?
