Just remember folks,

Microcenter has a 20% restock fee on all TV/monitors so if you don't like it, you are gonna each at least $80 to return it.

Ok all, I'm doing some late night tactical BF planning I need some help from the ATHD gurus. Which is the better hot deal, the $999 37" LCD HDTV above or the various $999 42" Plasma EDTV's being offered at BB/Walmart/Ultimate Electrionics. I'm not asking which is the better technology, and spending $500 more for HD plasma just isn't an option.

Just pretend you're upgrading from an old 27" tube and you MUST pick one of the two, which one would it be?

I would take the HDTV or the EDTV anyday because of the resolution.

HD is the only choice.

I would get the HDTV over the EDTV. Even though u said you don't care which is the better tech, well HDTV is just much better in clarity.

saw it in person today around 6:00PM

sales person told me that it's the last of the 50 or so that had in stock since this morning...don't know if I believe that.

anyways, it's not that impressive. either that or the signal they used was not the correct resolution. the channel did say HDNet though, which I assume it's an HD signal, but it looked to noisy and grainy to me.

So, I passed.

this one is an Olevia btw...
