Iverson:
We have similar setups, and I do light CAD (turbocad 5.2) as well. I'm pushing my T-bird 750, Abit kt7a to 900mhz (150fsb x 6.0 mult w/cheap pc133 sdram), ATI AIW 32ddram.
Lately, today, I've been running the 2100ex (aka samsung 1100p+1/2) at 1800 x 1440 and refresh of 60hz. I can push it to 70hz, but there is noticeable flicker (natural light) in upper left corner. At 60hz, no noticeable flicker.....!? I'll try this for a while. Seems much sharper than when I tried earlier. Even theAnandtech site fine print is legible. All this at 32bit hi color.

I would probably opt for the in between resolution, 1792x1344, but cannot bring it up without the virtual destop feature enabling (that is, the monitor/adaptor runs at 1600x1200, and pans to the edge of the 1792x1344 image. Any tips anyone?

Having a great time. Great deal. Great forum.

Anyone know how long it's taking to ship these things. I ordered mine monday morning and I live in the fabulous Buckeye State, Ohio that is. I can't log on to their site to get a tracking number. I'm just giddy with anticipation

re: 51 states - he probably should have said 50 states plus the District of Columbia (which has its own tax).

re: time to get them. I ordered mine on Saturday the 3rd and received it on Wednesday the 13th. I'm in NYC. The monitor is very nice, but not an incredible upgrade over my Samsung 90oP, which was flat, but the curve is quite small.

Thanks to the OP for this deal.

Overall, everyone seems mostly very happy with this monitor. I was wondering how much this sucker weighs?
I am thinking of shipping this thing to my brother and having him reship it to me (APO address) , but I am assuming it weighs over 70lbs. can anyone let me know if it weighs less than 70 lbs?
thanks

Outpost has this unit and states that it is 42 lbs. The 2 I got seem heavier, but I seriously doubt they are more than 70 lbs. I'm guessing around 55 lbs.

Well I went ahead and ordered one also. My 17inch Princeton started to act up this week and I need a new monitor. I was going to get a 19 inch but what the hell. If I don't like it I will just sell it. $398.54 shipped to Iowa.

Well, after about a week of trying to resist buying one of these monitors, I broke down and bought one. When I called, the CSR immediately asked if I was calling about the monitor when I mentioned the webpage I was looking at. Not sure if it's true, but he said that the deal was only going to be good for a couple more days because they are almost sold out of the monitors. He also said that there's a 30 warranty through Micron, and 1 year through Samsung just to add to the warranty confusion.

That was the same info they told me. Should be sold out in a few days.

dcdomain, I just tried following the link again, went to the parts section, clicked to buy, then clicked checkout and ended up in that same persons account again, with a few items showing in the order. Did you paste the link while you were logged onto your account?

irrigating, I forget where I got the link, but you aren't suppose to order online. You are suppose to call them to order... I guess that's why no one else picked up on it.

I got mine yesterday, Thursday after ordering it on Monday. Good thing cause they be all gone!.

I'm happy with it. After selling my decent 19" monitor this one cost me about 200 bucks.

How can I tell what frequency I'm running at? I'm running 1280x1024 32 bit true color at "optimal" frequency. The diagnostics on my Matrox G400 don't give me a clue.

I just got mine yesterday... I'll let go of it if anyone wants it... I'll use the money to buy a 27" TV instead. Please check this thread for details.

Mine is "compressed" on the right hand side of the screen. I'll have to call them and see what they can do about it. (The pixels are actually compressed -- everything looks skinny about 1/2cm from the right edge of the screen.)

Well, mine finally arrived. Monitor is pretty good, except I have a slight curvature horizontally I can?t seem to get rid of, pincushion adjustment doesn?t help. At this price, I can live with it.
CuriousG was right about the refresh rate with BNCs, but I found the INF?s !
Now I?m getting 1600 X 1200 @ 85hz with BNCs .

You need to use the INFs for the 1100pp to get the higher refresh rates.
Just go to the site below to get your INFs.

Thanks to all !
