Micron PC133 vs. Siemens Infineon PC133

Does anyone know how good the Micron or Siemens 128 MB PC133 RAM is? Both are $140, and I wanted to know what I should get. Any input on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

they're both good, but the micron cas2 pc133 with go cas2 @150 and up.

Micron defenitly make sure you get the CAS 2 stuff the part number ends in 7E . I have some infinion stuff from Memory Man and there is no way it is even close to my Micrn Memory.

They aren't reviewing Cas2 Crucial there... the only place that has reviewed it so far is bxboards.com

Sorry but if you look at the review at BXboards and read the part number on the Ram its not the 133 cas 2 from micron but the CAS 3 part. I have never seen a review any where of the CAS 2 part. It ends in 7E not 75. I have had both and when you set the BIOS to detect by SPD it detects the 75 at CAS 3 and the 7E at CAS 2.

The CORSAIR chips that BXBoards reviews is the same chips that are on Crucial 7E.. its the closest comparison you'll find, cause no one has reviewed 7E crucial yet.

But word of mouth here nad elsewhere indicates they easily hit 150+ cas2.. I have it at 152 Cas2.

Go for the Infineon..

I've gotten up to 150 FSB with these.

BTW: You should also consider RAM with Mosel chips.

yeah, but i'm hazarding a guess that you got 150mhz Cas3 on Infineons(i coudl get up that high cas3 with infinions as well).

Then I had the opportunity to grab some Cas2 PC133 Crucial's. It'll do the same fsb, but at CAS2.

If you're getting new ram, and cost is an issue, got Crucial 7E. If cost isn't an issue, MOsel Vitalic Rev.2's(mem man or mushkin).

Siemens has been pretty good to me. I have a stick of 128MB PC100 cas2 that will hit 133 cas2 or more. Not sure how high it will go since my BH6 only goes to 133.
