Well, if you figure that is is $299 to sign up... and if you do not currently own Microsoft Office 2003 then you have already got your moneys worth. Of course, you only legally own rights to it for a year. Still, odds are that there will be a new version of Office next year... plus all the other software. So... very worth it, even for home users. Particularly home users like me who really need these tools to learn how to run them before we get to the work environment.
Dont forget that the action pack "gives" you 10 licenses for the OS and applications.
How much is office2K3 pro ? $300 ? x10 =$3000
And free upgrades as long as you renew.

It is 10 liscences per item. Not total.

If you don't renew, you might as well be using pirated software. End of story.

slow down I could use this at the office here, we easily spend 10K/year on all that software where can I get in on this?
I tried that link for more info, but it didn't work

Ooh, can't believe folks are complaining about the action pack pricing. There has been no better M$ promotion, EVER
Pretty soon Microsoft will start disabling features on unlicensed software. Office will quit working, Control Panel will disappear ect..

On a plus note, I got my Action Pack update yesterday- it had Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 AND Windows XP w/ SP2 (10 licenses each). Woohoo! That was worth $199 alone
Uh, yeah. But what di YOU get?Originally posted by: Fritzo
Sometimes they give you 1 number with 10 , sometimes they give you 2 with 5, and sometimes they give you 5 with 2. Not sure why.

My MCE came with one number. I don't know if it's good for ten activations.
Did you get one,
or two,
or five numbers for MCE?
