Is there a site that has all the critical updates available for download?

using autopatcher is not helping pirating. Autopatcher sure does come in handy after doing a format and reinstall of windows xp. Saves time from not having to download all of the files.

One of these days, im going make me a new slipstream windows xp professional, current slipstream one has sp2 on it. But I want one that has sp2 plus all the latest pacthes for it when I goto install windows xp.

I have an IBM laptop which came with a licensed copy of Windows XP. Yes, I'm failing WGA but not because I pirate. According to some articles 2 out of 10 computers will fail WGA, even with a legit copy.

You sure are quick to pull the trigger. How exactly is the Autopatcher piracy? Please link me to a statement from Microsoft that states otherwise and maybe I'll listen. Until then the Autopatcher is a very useful utility for system builders and the geek community.

Say a person has to use a modem for connection....very slow. And he likes to stay up-to-date with security updates, patches, etc. Now this person has a fast broadband connection at work, maybe at a friends house. Using that fast connection he downloads the latest AutoPatcher every so often, burns it to a CD, than uses it at his own house to update the security challenged XP system he is using.

How is this piracy? How is this hurting MS in any way?

Can't prove that statistic by me. 30k sets that don't fail.

BUT... if you try this route http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/current.aspx and use the monthly bulletin, you might get to it without the AtHome check. The technical bulletin is designed to give a link for the folks that will also use it for redistibution. Try that and see if it works. You may even be able to use a download manager that way.

I haven't seen that among my clients. I've seen two PCs fail WGA. One had an illegal copy. The other couldn't run the WGA tool because the PC was contaminated with spyware. My experience is that 2/10 is a bit high. Microsoft wouldn't have made the tool mandatory if legitmate copies were failing at a 2/10 rate.
