Microsoft Excel question

Hello there!

This qeustions is about if it is possible in Microsoft Excel to make certain fields required/necessary to be inputed with data before you can move on to other fields on that line. If anyone has any advice or help, that would be great! Thanks!

You need a combination (maybe) of PROTECT and VALIDATE. I'd elaborate, but I'm shooting from the hip. I did an Excel search on the term "protect".

My crazy thinking on it is that you can create a macro that unprotects a target cell upon validation of data entry in a preceding cell.

That migh be crazy enough to work, although I wonder if I can do it, I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

HMMMMMM...creating this macro is a bit tricky, can anyone come up with a good one?

I'd think about putting together a data entry form with an "enter" button (on Sheet 1) that triggers a macro that checks the validity of all form fields before moving the valid entry to a table or database on Sheet 2 (and clearing the entry form). You can use message boxes to chastise users for bad or missing data, and give them a chance to correct.

Sounds good to me, but how would I go about doing that?
