Huh? MS has more than 10,000 regular employees. Estimates vary, but according to one article I read a few months ago, the average Microsoft employee, including all compensation and the cost of benefits, assuming they participate in matching pension plans and discount stock programs up to the maximum yearly limit, earns in excess of $200,000 per year.

buying amd is a pretty stupid idea, investement wise. AMD has so many debts, and they dont look to be getting better much sooner, plus intel would be mad. you dont get 40 billiono saved by being stupid. they cant give the money away, as they are a publicly traded stock, they'd have to have shareholders vote to do that, and well no one would agree to it.


they should buy nvidia , and just have nvidia design more of the xbox for xbox2. while they are at it, might as well buy a cell phone company.

I believe the official MS position on the cash reserve is it is being kept as a reserve since there are still 28? outstanding lawsuits against them by various states that opted to not agree with the Federal settlement.
