After reading this post in hot deals, I went to edit my Hotmail info. I figured they don't need to know my real birthday (3/20/84, making me 18 and an adult for most legal purposes), so I changed it to 1/1/99. Now Hotmail really does think that I am 3 years old. I get this stupid "Kids' Passport.NET" crap everytime I sign on. They want me to give them a credit card number so that I can prove that I'm an adult and "edit the info for my child's account." I don't have a CC On the bright side, maybe my sudden age change will convert all the lame penis enlargement/online diploma/home loan spam i get into lame pokemon/n*sync spam. When will M$ learn that most people don't appreciate "features" like this?

Most people probably don't use hotmail, most people probably don't say they're 3 years old.

This isn't a worthwhile rant, better luck next time.

My personal opinion is that Microsoft is nothing but a bunch of greedy fags. They don't care about customers. All they want to is increase their already too-large grip on the industry and make ol Billy G some more money. They really infuriate me some days.

You honestly think other large companies are any different?

In capitalism, it will always be about the buck, no way around it...

I use hotmail for what it's best for - an e-mail address to sign up for things that will likely result in spam, to supplement MS's spam. In that sense, it works fine for me.

I use my other e-mail address(es) for everything else.

I think thats what I'm going to have to end up doing. Pain in the @ss, though, since I've been using this hotmail address to sign up for everything ever since I first got on the internet. It actually gets a few important emails a day in addition to all the spam.

You had your real age in there in the first place? Only my ISP and my one pay email address have any real information on me.
