Are you sure you are looking at the LASER mouse, not optical. The prices you listed for the 6000 seems like the optical version

The 3000 is an optical.
The 6000 for $40 is a laser.

My local OD in Modesto, CA had all of them at the advertised prices.. I'm not a fan of the wireless stuff, so I only grabbed a keyboard, but there was a $10 coupon in the ad which I used on ink for my wife's Epson printer.

I scored a MS Notebook Laser Mouse 6000 HERE because they ran out of THESE. It rang up at $9.99 and then there was a $5 rebate as well. Not sure how the one I got compares to the original one on sale, but for $5 AR, it's not a bad deal at all. I might go pick up an extra sale price mouse at another OD tomorrow if they still have any in stock.

Hey folks, I work at OD:

If the price doesn't appear to be marked down, either go to a computer terminal and type in the SKU, or find an associate and ask him or her to check it for you. At my store we still have more than a few of the Wireless Laser Mouse 6000s left. We never really put them all out, at least not in the same area.
