I was there at THAT Fry's in the MORNING...and those @#$#@% said they NEVER know of such keyboards at ALL!
And one guy ask one guy and then ask another guy....
And NONE of them have an newspaper AD or heard about it!
And then one of them look it up in the INVENTORY and said they were SOLD OUT already....cause the SALE started on Friday!?!?
LUCKILY, I end up getting it in another branch which have plenty of them in stock.......at $14.95

You can get the elite for $17+Shipping at newegg, OEM, with hardware purchase..I just bought a mobo and such, so it only cost me about another $2 for fedex air---$19 = GOooooooooooooD

what you'll get is the elite (pos imo) keyboard.. Pro OTOH , is a superb product from MS

This is a good deal too, but the Elite keyboard has the non-standard key placement, with the re-arranged arrow keys and all that. Very hard to get used to for me.

The Pro version has the right key positions!

USB only, I tried a USB to PS/2 connector and it didn't work.

The Pro version only uses a USB connection. I believe that the reason for this is because you cannot hook up USB devices to the keyboard's hub and expect to get the bandwidth needed by connecting the keyboard to your PC's PS/2 port (alliteration baby, LOL)

Yeah, I'm upgrading from an elite too. I wonder why MS changed it from the original 1.0 version where the arrow buttons were normal...

for those of you who weren't able to get in on this deal from Fry's (east coast people)
I found a place online that has it for 31.56 shipped (to MD)
I got mine from ShenTech
Great customer service and it got here fast.
The only bad thing I would say is that it wasn't packed well.
They basically just taped the brown oem box up and slapped a UPS label on it.
But the keyboard works fine (I'm using it now)
They also have the elite for a little bit cheaper.
