Microsoft Office Professional - 2010 - $9.95 for certain emails (.edu, work, myspace)

Easy.

Your work and/or educational institution must be under a contract with Microsoft - generally an Enterprise Agreement for corporations, and there's something similar for educational institutions. These agreements provide Home Usage Rights for software that is running on the users desktop (that they're licensed for in the office.) If your company buys boxed copies, or if they choose not to enable the HUR, then you can't access it at all.

I know this because I just activated HUR permissions for my company this morning.

My edu email address worked but I already have Office. If someone wants this and their email isn't working PM me and we can work it out.

Give it 24 hours or so. Make sure to send a few out to yourself (at another e-mail address). It will work.

To those that want to create a myspace e-mail, go to the mail page and try to send something. It will pop up and say that you don't have an e-mail account and click here to create one. Click it. Just over 1/3 of the way down the next page, there will be an identity that will state www.myspace.com/##########. There is a button to change that identity. Change it to "whateveryouwant" (don't think you need to add the myspace stuff in there). Save. You will now be "whateveryouwant"@myspace.com. I would then send a few emails out from there to get the process started as it seems to speed up the long wait to get myspace.com's email working (about 24 hours for me).

Yes. To make a backup disk, simply copy the downloaded file to a DVD. It's right around one gigabyte in size.

I wasn't getting email to my old MySpace as others mentioned, it was bouncing back. I created a new account and sent a few emails out and after a day or two, my replies stopped bouncing back and the Microsoft email made it through.

This seems to be the 32 bit version. Is a 64 bit available?

you do not want the 64 bit version. even MS doesnt want people to use it. Im not sure why they have issues with it when, say, server 2008, ms sql, windows 7 and 8 and other stuff is 64 bit supported....but office isnt.

in fact, if you install office 64 bit you may have compatibility issues with other microsoft products. sharepoint, for instance, will tell you to screw off if you have office 64 bit.

i made the mistake of getting 64 bit assuming...everything else i use is 64 bit, why shouldnt office be?

its because they dont really support it and its a pain in the ass when you need it to be compatible with other products.
