Remember OEM mouses can't get a replacement if it ever breaks. For about $10 more, you can get a retail boxed one at Staples.

I have the dual optical Logitech and I have to admit the MS Optical 5 button I got from here is much better. It tracks on white surfaces whereas the logitech doesn't. The version I got was 1.1. The only thing I didn't like was the 5 button mouse has 2 buttons on top. The one on the right seems to get pushed every so often. Highly recommended mouse for the price.

I love my 5 button Intellimouse, it took a little time to get use to the side buttons, and like you I had some accidental hits in the beginning.

BTW I order from this company and had no problems.
