I used my valid student ID, but they really didn't check it hard or anything. Some (most) of the people working the check-in tables were either students at Wayne State, or they were temps from a temp agency like Manpower (I forget the name the girl told me, any ideas, I have heard it before)
My guess is they could really care less, she was cool about hooking my friend and I up with extra bags. When I went outside for a smoke and came back in I talked with her again for a few and she asked me what the event was for, if that tells you anything. I could have gone for multi-table check-in, but didn't want to risk it because I was already told to come back near the end for my extras. I mean come on guys, how many copies of XP do you REALLY need?? I mean sure finally I have a legal copy, but whatever. I suggest to go for 2, maybe 3 bags, don't be greedy.
If you DO happen to get more than that and wanna get rid of your Tshirt tablet (haha) cause it is too small or whatever, lemme know, I want a few more of those shirts. Heck I might even trade a copy of XP or my copies of .NET, but your not getting my spiderballs
On another note, does anyone remember the website they gave at the end so you could download the code that they showed at the event?? I think I might have found it but I'm not sure yet, gotta grab it later. OH yeah....and when the first speaker (forgot his name already, the guy with the beard) said something like "...earlier I was outside talking with some people about security issues blah blah blah..", he was talking about my friend and I. That guy is cool as h*ll, straight from Redmond, has 3 college degrees...one from UCLA, one from Boulder Colorado (might be somewhere else in CO), and I forget the last one.
