w00t w00t!!! Finally the day has arrived, going to be at Wayne State tonight with a friend. We are leaving here in about an hour from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, too bad MS doesn't have their own team of MS event girls like many other companies at tech expos and stuff, oh well. Why I am missing out on homework and a quiz so I can get some free software that I already have is beyond me, but hopefully I will win an XBox so I can sell it and get a GF3 or 4.
Dunno what I will be wearing yet, probably just some jeans, black undershirt, and a blue long-sleeve shirt (ya, that will be easy to find!). But then again if you see a tall blonde guy walking around in a black Naspter shirt that says "Thanks for sharing" on the back, then you will know you have found me.
you can't park free everywhere after 4:30.. depends on where you are. i didn't know if lot 1 had the 7am-4:30pm restrictions or not.. or if there would be parking at the UMUC parking garage...

just walk......... lol, see you there. leaving pretty much now.
Just back from UMD one. They said it was gonna start at 6:30 but started @ 7:00 so that was annoying. Anyways it was short and my girlfriend won a duffle bag. I also picked up an extra goodie bag. Good food and the band was way too loud. Sticking with UMD tradition people looted the left over boxes of software after the thing was done. It was pretty funny.

I was gonna grab me another one but the guy in front of me grabbed what looked like 6 bags. He had a big grin on his face. Personally, I thought that was a little too selfish...
Oh well, I did managed to get another one (for my brother) by going to two lines. I went to the first line and got a bag (for myself) and walked away and put it in my backpack. Then I waited until they let the people who didn't register to go in (I wanted to make sure everyone who registered was able to get a bag) and I went to another line and got another bag for my brother. I hope they don't check all the lists for people who went to more than one line. Now, I'm gonna be worried that I will get a call complaining they have evidence that I went to 2 lines because I was marked off with yellow markers on 2 different lists. I feel pretty bad about doing that but I really wanted to get a bag for my brother...
Why do people go crazy for those spider balls? The guy Sean was throwing them mostly to one side of the room. Only at the end did he throw a lot to my side.
my friends and i also pulled the multi-line registration and got a bonus software pack
we pulled in a total of about 40 spider balls since i knew one of the cheerleaders handing them out...it was like halloween all over again. i have no idea why they are so cool but they smell great!
hassling good old steve (cy)Borg from the front row was nice too...keep the free conf's coming ms!
back from detroit
handed out the bags immediately. can't say how the presentation went because I was in the car at 6:40 pm
food: little sleazers pizza- skipped it; went to real restaurant for dinner.
The presentation wasn't all that bad, it was nice to see the guy (boggs?) coding in front of us.....hope I have time to fool around with VS.net soon, see what's different.
But man, that "tropical punch" they had sure was......punchy. tasted WAY too sweet, even for me. Didn't win anything tho, poo.
Spiderball -- One on top from Fullerton.. one on bottom from UCLA.. the one on the bottom's just so ur pencil won't roll away.. i don't think there's any real functionality to the larger one
viual studio.net acadamia, xp pro, t-shirt, mints ( disgusting ) pen, 2 color highliter, magizine, pad of paper and free pizza, pop, salad, cookies. Walk in, check in, get software, eat food and leave ( if you want) lol But the meeting is ok
These spiderballs rock, smell good too. The tshirts are pretty damn cool, amazing how they package them so small. Between a friend and I we got 5 bags, could have gotten more but I can only really wear one tshirt at a time, and install XP once. I got some pics and hopefully will get them developed and scanned when I get some free time.
I went to the Detroit one last night...it was shorter than I expected. There sure was an abundance of spiderballs. If anyone was there, I was with the guy who yelled out "Where's the zip?" like 3 times. Someone actually followed us after we left onto the freeway, made a sign that said "Where's the zip?" and drove next to us and held it up in the window. Awesome stuff. (Embarassing friend though)
Got some chick at work who freaks out at anything remotely insectlike, we rolled the spider ball on her just to hear her scream. Spiderball may be the best freebie of the lot.
