Decent deal but Win7 SHOULD be like $30 at this point. Too bad all the Family Pack versions have vanished. That was the best OS deal ever. The last one I bought for $80 shipped....great deal for 3 licenses.

No way, that was what I paid, or maybe $39 during the promo period and we don't use either copy I paid for, rolling back to Win7.

Having worked with 8/8.1 on many customer PCs, I've warmed to 8.1 (but not 8.0). 8.1 is actually good if you spend time on cleaning up the adware from metro and setup the start programs menu.

Truthfully, I've been completely ambivalent to the OS for years. I got 8 because I was switching to a SSD after a hard-drive failure and 8 was cheap. Bought start8 and booted to desktop immediately, hardly ever noticed a difference in OS.

Good deal on Windows 7. Is it better than 8? Yep. Does 8 suck? Not really.

I already run Mint Linux on other few boxes....
