I had a very bad experience with this mouse....its not worth spending any money on these POS mouse

after using it for awhile (i couldn't resist!) i found that the CNet review is accurate regarding its limited range. however, for laptop users, the range of about 3-5 feet shouldn't really be a big deal. the mouse sets up in a cinch, and it's got a pretty accurate tracking system. to the best of my knowledge, MS mice have always been reliable, plus their service is pretty good too.

Great deal on an awesome laptop mouse.

I had the older version which I used a lot until it was replaced with the Logitech V200. I still prefer the shape/feel of the Microsoft but the Logitech is also nice.

If you have a broken Microsoft mouse of keyboard, then hopefully you know that Microsoft has a replacement program. Just call them at 800-360-7561, then fax your info with a copy of the product ID # (on the bottom of your mouse) -- you'll get a replacement mouse within a few days.

No need to send them a copy of your receipt or to mail anything to them.

thanx will do that...had couple of them broken within first month ..gave up on them and got Logitech...but will call MS

It doesn't seem to have a "back" button. I'm use to having that now while browsing. It's so convenient. Having said that, I still may replace my current mouse for that price. Thanks.

I'm currently using a cheap microsoft laptop mouse as my regular computer mouse and it works fine. Microsoft has been known to make good mouses. I forgot the name of the mouse but according to stories over the internet and seeing it happen in real life, their customer support is also very good should your mouse open.

My cousin tested the theory that microsoft will simply replace your mouse no questions asked if you just clal them up. It worked for him for some reason and they sent him a new desktop mouse.

At that price, it's hard to pass up. I've had other MS mice fail, and their customer service dept replaced them with no problems. Still, I've switched to Logitech.

How long is MS warranty for their notebook mouse? Mine is intermittently working, I bought it over a year. Am I OOL?

I think you're OK

My mouse was also "intermittently working". I think I had it for a over a year, and I received a replacement from Microsoft without any problems.

I don't think it would hurt to call and ask for one. You don't need to send/fax a copy of your receipt, just the bottom of your mouse with the product ID#, your name & mailing address
