Microstutter, Sli/xfire users give us your experience please.

I was very happy with SLI, and am happy with Xfire, except I cant play ARMA 2 with the 2nd card enabled. It really sucks.

I'd have to concur with this sentiment

2 x GTX 470s, used to drive either a 2560x1440 U2711 or a 120Hz 1920x1080 XL2410T.

I really wish there was a single GPU solution that could appease my thirst but I don't see that happening any time soon

I play call of duty 4/5/black ops/moh/ And bad company 2

Seems i get it a lot in call of duty 4 and bad company 2 and moh

My res is 1920/1080 I get around 150fps on max with call of duty with moh/bad company 2 I get around 95 with everything maxed out.

Also does anybody get a huge stutter when loading say black ops and of the call of duty games?

I notice it in a few games. With Wow, Crysis and BFBC2, it only becomes an issue in areas where my fps drops into the low 40's or lower. With SC2, it seems to be extremely noticeable even at 60fps. SC2 is the only game where using 1 card makes the game feel smoother.

Yea I get a huge delay at the start of CoD-DO where it freezes for a bit, but I think that's a game bug and not a video card issue. I'd google it but I'm lazy and I just wait it out

i finally found a game with my current gen where i notice microstutter. It is: league of legends. Normally i have played this game with sli disabled because i dont play it in surround as it makes moving left or right irritating and obstructs view the way it stretches (hor+?)

Accidently played with sli enabled after using it to bench metro2033 on a single screen - microstutter. Terrible too.

I have yet to experience microstutter. The only problem i have with CF so far is MW2 (poorly optimized game to begin with). The rest of the games though is aight

Hah they got mired in a lawsuit because they were spreading libel about other companies and any forum members who had posted on the other companies forums were banned. And if you post in any of the competing review websites that they dislike they ban you too. Hardforum is a joke.

What was the lawsuit about?

i post there occasionally and my articles are regularly linked to over there, so i am not sure what you mean. i don't start threads about anything that i have evaluated, but i can link anyone with a question to my own work with no issues over there. OtOH, i cannot link to my reviews here, but they allow me to put a link in my signature .. so each forum has their own rules.

Here is where there is a lot of debating; HardOCP mostly split the Nvidia and AMD discussions into two sub-forums. And KyleB will not tolerate insult to his site or his articles; they won't tolerate it here either.

i only mentioned Micro-Stutter in part 1 of my SLI vs CF review and will get back to it later. i DO notice it. It doesn't generally bother me and i am going to be evaluating Tri-FireX3 pretty soon - for part 2, most likely.
