Either will probably work fine. But I'd prefer to have the ports in the same direction as on 3.5" drives, and I don't know if the Rosewill accessory is the same quality as the Silverstone. The reviews on the Silverstone adapter are excellent with next to no people having any trouble fitting the SSD on it. And a lot of other adapters are plastic, this one's metal

I have one of those Silverstone adapters, works great in tight cases. What I really like however are these Icy Dock enclosures because unlike most adapters, the SATA power and data ports end up exactly where they would be on a 3.5" drive.

I have successfully built my PC and have installed the OS drivers etc.
Are there any sanity checks that I should do to check all my components are working properly.
Are stress tests recommended immediately after a new build?
Again thanks to all forum members for helping setup my first gaming build.

Glad you were successful!

You can run OCCT CPU and GPU for a general stability test. 3DMark will give you a general indication of whether or not the performance is in the right place (post the scores here).

In OCCT I am currently running the CPU:OCCT test with duration 1 hour and setting automatic.

I do not have an aftermarket heat sink in my rig as of now[will OC later]
Do you recommend I run the CPU:LINPACK, GPU:3D and Power Supply Test.

Please let me know if you have any specific settings that I should take care of to prevent any component damage.

I ran the CPU and GPU 3D test.
It generated a bunch of graphs.
I am unable to figure out how to insert images into this post.
Can some 1 provide some pointers on what information is of importance in OCCT tests.

I am using v4.4.0.

None of the benchmarks will damage your system assuming that you have no defective components. Finding defective components is of course the purpose of doing a burn-in in the first place.

You can embed images hosted on any image sharing service, I personally like imgur. Click on the "Insert Image" button (looks like a yellow box with mountains in it) and paste the link.

Thanks
Here are the graphs generated.
The link is to an album for all the graphs.

I have gone through the graphs but am having a tough time determining the performance of my build w/o a reference.

I dunno how to phrase it but does everyone buy 3D Mark?
Its like $25 on Steam.
I dunno if I will use it after this initial test.
Also I saw there was a demo version of it.Is it any good?

The free version is totally fine for doing a quick system check. I compared your 3DMark score to others with similar configs, and yours look right on the money. There are only a few stock clock results above yours, with the vast majority being below.

The OCCT results look fine as well, I'm assuming you're using the stock cooler?

Great.
I am using Intel's Stock Cooler for now.
