Same as others.

Favicon missing. I really miss this when it's gone. When I have many tabs open (so always) it's hard to find the AT ones.

First post showing up when not wanted. It seems every time I choose to look back a the previous page of a thread I get that dumb first post at the top, and it centers me on it. This is annoying. I want the previous page of the thread, not the 1st post again and again. If I wanted the 1st post, I would go to the first page.

We'll get round to taking a look at this as it's something that's easy to miss in testing. Taking a look, there is no reason it shouldn't be showing, so that'll need a deeper dive.

There's a few other quality of life items to work through as well, but for awareness the forum was on very outdated software and our migration required it to be updated, which required a lot of add-ons to be removed. It was very much a case of either we update or start to see some major errors. Long term it allows us to provide fixes faster and make QoL changes, but annoyingly it does mean there's going to be a period of tweaking things as we get visibility on them.

In terms of style, nothing has been changed on our end by choice and are down to deprecated add-ons and styles and the bulk of the look is 1-1 from the previous version. These are items we can take a look at, but obviously making sure there are no significant issues and the sites performance is solid is the priority initially. These aren't immediate fixes as I'm sure you can understand we're in the middle of a fairly intensive process, but we'll make sure they're on the board to get looked at.

The reply form options are so faint they almost disappear. This is using Chrome and the Anandtech style.

The bold option finally works correctly in Firefox, so that's neat, been broken for an age.

Click the preview button on the far right in your picture (the thing with the magnifying glass). I noticed this "feature" rather quickly yesterday. When it's on preview you can't type anything in the reply area. If you type something in the reply box click the preview button to toggle it on and off and you'll notice the change in the icons. Not the best design IMHO.

I don't have any problems typing in the reply area. I have a lot of trouble seeing the icons in the reply area. Can you clearly see the bold, alignment, insert link etc. in the pic I posted. I sure can't.

Sorry I wasn't clear. You're in preview mode and the icons go faint when that happens. When I click the preview button (far right) they go back to normal. Notice how the icons are all faint but the preview on the right in your pic. Or at least that is what I'm seeing here in firefox on my PC. My preview button has the icon and also says preview.

I typed all these posts with the icons looking exactly like they do in my pic. Clicking on the preview icon does absolutely nothing for the clarity of any of the icons. The only thing that changes when I click on the preview icon is that I can no longer type in the reply box and the blue line surrounding my already typed text disappears.

Then I'm not sure what it is. I upload 2 pics to show what I'm seeing. Notice the 2nd "previewmode" pic looks like what you're seeing.

If you copy and paste formatted text it still brings along the formatting instead of just plain text. This means I have to copy/paste to notepad and then copy/paste the plain text to reply. It's a huge PITA.
You really don't. You can paste it, highlight whatever you copied and pasted and choose the Remove Formatting option from the toolbar. It looks like an eraser.

Some threads seems to be showing the original post pinned to the top of every page.

Are you referring to this? If so, it's because it's a Question thread, which allows people to vote on the proper solution when it's found and allow depending on permissions, to mark a reply as the solution.

ALSO, missing most emojies. They are kind of there, in a . . . ghostly way, I think . . . just not visible.

I just noticed something weird. I can't cry. It just comes up as a blank square for me.

On the smilies list a whole lot are missing, including all the food. (We're gonna starve! At least that smilie works.)
This should be fixed now. Appreciate your patience while we sorted it out.

🤯 There's a 💩-ton of new emojis too! It's a 🌪️ change! Thanks!

Just one little issue: Hovering over the new emojis doesn't explain them with title text like it does with the old ones. Could we please get that changed? 😇

Unfortunately, I don't believe I can adjust the built in ones. It's essentially two systems, the built-in one and the custom one that you're used to. The custom one allowed for that because, well, it was custom but the built-in one does not. If I find a way to change it I will, but I want to set the expectation I might not be able to.

I see it on this thread, which is a "Discussion":

And this one which is labled as "info":

It seems most lables trigger this.

By George, I think I've got it!

Went through every one of the icons - left to right including all the "more options" and, wouldn't you know, in the farthest right, more options selection, 24 icons later, I clicked on "Toggle BB Code" and that did it. Don't know why that was as it was unless I had left it that way from my last use before the software changed.

Thanks for your help!

On Android smartphone, it kept asking me to accept cookies even if I already accepted it several times!

I use Stylus in Firefox, still looks pretty good to me. Maybe a tweek here or there, but overall the move was done very well. Thank you.

Doesn't change the answer however. When the thread was started the OP chose to put it in as a question thread (There's Discussion, Poll, and Question options), and that's how they appear now.
It'll likely require some clean up of threads that never should have really been posted that way.

The Question and Answer system was always in effect here, just some folks never used it and well.. some folks likely saw the option / used it without actually knowing what it was.

Thank you. I forgot about that option.

I just noticed something today. With firefox when I right-click to paste there is an option to "paste without formatting" which works like a charm. 👍

How about we just get rid of the unnecessary feature (it's probably just a setting in the forum SW), then you don't need to clean up threads.
