As I said before I like this update except one thing more on that below.
Forums feel faster and text links like the notification field are easier to read and “press”.
This is a good update for mobile devices.
Here’s the one thing I do not like and it may be an apple thing.
Yesterday the icon for the forums in Safari changed to this light blue icon and it’s sort of hard to read. I guess I’ll adjust.
If this is a website thingy try to get it back to a more dark blue.

For the first time ever, I got a popup offering to install an Anandtech app on my Galaxy S21 Ultra.
Didn't know AT had its own mobile app.

As Mindless said, whitespace problems scaling. Any variation from recommended font size breaks scaling.

Just one little issue: Hovering over the new emojis doesn't explain them with title text like it does with the old ones. Could we please get that changed? 😇
Unfortunately, I don't believe I can adjust the built in ones. It's essentially two systems, the built-in one and the custom one that you're used to. The custom one allowed for that because, well, it was custom but the built-in one does not. If I find a way to change it I will, but I want to set the expectation I might not be able to.
In posts, you appear to be right. I failed to specify I was looking for it in the emoji selection menu. So I made a user style to do it myself.

CSS:
/* ==UserStyle==
@name           forums.anandtech.com - New Emoji Titles
@namespace      github.com/openstyles/stylus
@version        1.0.0
@description Give every emoji in the smilies list a pop-up on hover.
@author         Ken g6
==/UserStyle== */

@-moz-document domain("forums.anandtech.com") {
    a.js-emoji.js-emoji {
        position: relative;
        overflow: visible;
    }
    a.js-emoji:hover::before {
        content: attr(data-shortname);
        position: absolute;
        left:-30%;
        top: 0;
        font-size:1rem;
        color: #fff;
        background: #000;
        display: inline-block;
        border-radius: 3px;
        z-index: 99;
    }
}

It's not perfect, but I'm finding it useful.

Hey, the ask-a-question box on the right disappeared. I wouldn't actually care except that I made a user script that lets me jump to different forums from there. If it's gone for good I'll need a more complex script.

It's been 'broken" for a while now so we've been testing some fixes on it. Can't say yet if it's gone for good as we're still testing, but it's back for now.

Nice. I can appreciate anyone who fixes problems in their own way. 💯

IMG isn't loading for me, after I click SAVE in editor. Image link shows in editor. link goes to newegg. I post links like that when I post products, kind of often. Maybe the forum software just needs a whitelist for *.newegg.com image links ?

That's not a problem with our system as far as I can tell, it seems Newegg doesn't want you taking their images (or has blocked AnandTech) because that image doesn't work while others do. For example:

Feel free to create a Style around it, I don't believe it will be removed.
If it stay, can the logic at least be made better. The similar threads generally have nothing to do with the thread being read.

Also is it possible to get page number navigation at the top of the page, and the ability to type in a specific page number?

Doesn't change the answer however. When the thread was started the OP chose to put it in as a question thread (There's Discussion, Poll, and Question options), and that's how they appear now.
It'll likely require some clean up of threads that never should have really been posted that way.

The Question and Answer system was always in effect here, just some folks never used it and well.. some folks likely saw the option / used it without actually knowing what it was.
It's painful. Painful I tell ya. Painful.

It's annoying to have to continually scroll past the first post over and over again as I page through the tread. Hoping each time that I don't overshoot.

I know we're getting old, but I believe my cognitive abilities allow me to remember what was in the first post of the thread. I'm not going to forget when I go to another page. I don't need to be reminded every... single... time.

Go to any sub forum under hardware and technology. The new thread prefix is defaulted to "Question".

Most of the threads are created as such.

Odd...as I posted in the screenshot above, I don't get that "first post" thing at all.

On Android smartphone, it kept asking me to accept cookies even if I already accepted it several times!

A month later, the same issue for forum on Android persists (Chrome browser) and no one from Anandtech cares.

am I losing my mind or was there not a stats page n the left panel that would list who made the most posts in the last week or month, who had the most solutions for this week, etc? now it's all the top of everything.

There was. However, as part of the upgrade and due to certain incompatibilities we had to take a look at whether or not that system was being heavily used. Our review showed most weren't actually making use of it so rather than forcing it to work and potentially having it be an issue further down the road, it was removed in favour of a more simplistic approach.

Aaand...just a few minutes ago, I got hit by the "first post in the thread" bug.

Oddly enough, it doesn't seem to affect all forums. So far, I've only experienced it in threads in the CPU forum, Graphics Card forum, the Monitor forum, and in the Memory/Storage forum. Nothing (yet) in any of the software or social forums, nor in any of the other hardware forums.
