Hey.

I didn´t start my research until this afternoon, and I haven´t decided who I´m going to take yet. In the meantime, I´ll listen to trade offers for my pick in either league. (Trading picks is allowed, right?) So if anyone wants to move up in the first round, at the expense of a 2nd or later round pick, post it here or PM me. I´ll be back later tonight to make my selection.

Sorry, I came to the internet station when I got back to the hotel last night, but the internet was down. Anyway, here are my choices...

In League 1, I choose McGrady.

In League 2, I choose Shaq.

alright, got it... tmac and elton, next!

Tracy McGrady (ORL) - McGrady has traded in his Magic jersey
for a Rockets one this offseason, coming to Houston in a huge
multi-player deal involving Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley
among others. McGrady was all smiles upon learning of this trade,
but his fantasy outlook should be anything but positive. Under
coach Jeff Van Gundy's defense-emphasized, slow-tempo style of
basketball, McGrady will be hard-pressed to find nearly as many
shot attempts as he did in Orlando. Expect a hefty drop-off in
McGrady's output, as he figures to score around 25 points per
game. Still, McGrady should offer about 2.5-3.0 threes, 5-6
rebounds, 5-6 assists, two steals and 0.5-0.7 blocks per game. And
he might even improve his FG% with his refined shot selection in
Houston. Although McGrady might not be a no-brainer top-5 pick
this season, he should still be an excellent pick in the mid-first
round and would be an absolute steal if he falls to the late first
round.

Shaquille O'Neal (MIA) - O'Neal gives you everything you want
from a fantasy center: scoring (21.5 ppg), rebounding (11.5 rpg),
shot-blocking (2.5 bpg) and a good field goal percentage (58.4 percent,
tops among centers). Those are the basics at the position,
and O'Neal is a lock to be among the league's elite in each category.
He's no gamble whatsoever, but be sure to surround him with
players who can hit their free throws. Getting out of L.A. is a huge
relief for the Big Aristotle, so the desire to prove himself away from
Kobe will be great. The new start may also work against him. A new
set of teammates will require some adjustment - from him and
them. While we like Dwyane Wade's game, he's no Kobe in terms
of drawing defensive pressure away from Shaq. Egos will be subjugated
to feed Shaq, who should dominate Eastern Conference centers
every night.

league 2 is kicking league 1's butt!

Elton Brand (LAC) - This seems appropriate in an election year -
three things are inevitable: death, taxes, and Elton Brand getting
20-and-10. He does it fairly anonymously. His name only really
comes up as a response when some genius talks about how Duke
players don't succeed in the NBA, or when some sportswriter
laments how Brand's talent and professionalism is wasted as he
toils for Donald Sterling. Another 20 points. Another 10 boards. And
some smart fantasy team owner moves into first place... because
he was smart enough to grab the incredibly consistent Mr. Brand.

Hey so am I... a yankees fan that is..

Its now 0-0 and you win or you go home...

I think the most interesting part of the draft will be the end of round1 though the beginning of round 3.

don't worry, it's just the baseball gods messing with the red sox's fans emotions. They want the sox fans to think they have a shot at completing the best comeback in baseball history, then completely demolish those hopes and dreams and send boston into a depression for another year until they foolishly get their hopes up again, and the cycle repeats....

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

er,

um,

ok, AK47. next.

must formulate new evil master plan

Andrei Kirilenko (UTA) - Kirilenko is almost in a class by himself
when it comes to all-around fantasy stats, joining Kevin Garnett as
the two most versatile players in fantasy basketball. AK-47 makes a
contribution in every single fantasy category, but his strengths
clearly lie in his defensive prowess and his superb percentages.
Kirilenko will give you about two steals and close to three blocks
per game, while shooting nearly 50 percent from the field and 90
percent from the line. In addition, Kirilenko vastly improved his outside
shooting at the end of last season, even upping his three-point
totals and figures to average about one three a game as well.
Kirilenko's rebound totals might take a hit with board magnet Carlos
Boozer in town, but he should snag 7-8 rebounds per game. After
Garnett and Tim Duncan, you might not find a better option than
this Jazz fantasy stud. Kirilenko is a no-brainer top-5 pick and
should probably be the third overall pick in this year's draft.
