In League 1, I choose McGrady.

In League 2, I choose Shaq.

alright, got it... tmac and elton, next!

I gather that you were hoping Shaq would fall to #12?

I was actually hoping to take Shaq at #10, then Yao at #15....

and i'm hoping kev picks vince carter right about now.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...

you can't have kobe and ray allen... that's like matter and anti-matter mixing. you're going to blow us all to pieces!!

Ray Allen (SEA) - No three words describe Allen better than
consistency, efficiency and accuracy. Night in and night out, Allen is
one of the game's most reliable contributors. With Brent Barry
joining the Spurs, Allen could be looked to shoulder more point guard
responsibilities than in the past, increasing his opportunities for
assists. With Peja Stojakovic, Allen should also be fantasy basketball's
top option for threes. If Allen's game has any faults, it's his
unselfishness. Unlike some of the game's best shooting guards,
Allen is a team-oriented player rather than necessarily a stats-oriented
player. Therefore, Allen might not be up-to-par with the
McGradys and Bryants in points scored. Still, his superiority in
threes and FT%, along with pluses in the points and assists catego
ry, should catapult Allen into a solid late first-round or early secondround
pick.

you could call me katlyn right about now.

11. Yao Ming

Yao Ming (HOU) - While Yao prepared to represent China in the
Olympics, his American basketball world was altered big time. The
Rockets' starting backcourt was traded for offensive supernova
Tracy McGrady, and Yao became the Western Conference's best
center when Shaquille O'Neal was traded east. Steve Francis, it
turns out, was not always on the same page with the team, so
change was needed for Houston to improve. If McGrady, who wanted
out of Orlando and got his way, wants a ring, he'll have to learn
how to live with another star on the team. Yao enters his third season
and should be reaching a comfort level in the NBA.

12. Marion

Shawn Marion (PHO) - Marion will give Kirilenko a run for his
money for the top spot at the small forward position. Much like
Kirilenko, Marion will help fantasy owners in almost every category.
Marion is an expert thief, has the ability to knock down the three
and can rebound with the best of them at the three spot. The acquisition
of Quentin Richardson won't hurt Marion's playing time,
though the Suns might move him to the four for stretches while Joe
Johnson and Richardson are both on the court. Plus, with the
acquisition of Steve Nash, Marion will get the ball in a better position
to score and should see an increase in points per game. Marion
should be a strong draft pick in the mid-to-late first round.

I already hate my team. :brokenheart:

faber... used and abused (even if i did initiate all this in the first place)

Paul Pierce (BOS) - Pierce is about the closest thing to a one man
team in the NBA save for Allen Iverson. Sure, it hurts the
Celtics' chances of sneaking into the playoffs, but the fantasy owners
targeting Pierce in this year's draft have much to rejoice over.
Undoubtedly the number one option for shots, Pierce should threaten
to break the 30 ppg mark this season, as newly hired head
coach Doc Rivers will look to Pierce as often as possible. Pierce
should be an offensive juggernaut, projecting to knock down 2-3
threes per game as well. Although FG% might be a source of concern,
Pierce should be among the game's most well-rounded fantasy
contributors, providing hefty boosts to a team's threes, points,
rebounds, assists and steals. Make sure you take this stud in the
late first round if he's still on the board.

Already? so then you will give me the $90 if you win with that team? I mean that would really mean you hate your team

Edit
Right now B Davis is the highest rated on my draft board.

ya, i can see him blowing up in byron's fastbreak offense. and I only admit that since there's not a chance he'll still be around when i make my next picks.

dalembert has upside too. I had to go with Yao because I really didn't want go get stuck with Camby or Vlade... two IL trips just waiting to happen.

Ben Wallace (DET) - There's no denying that Ben Wallace is one
of the cooler players in the NBA. The hair, the intimidation of anyone
in the lane, the gritty way of going about his business, gobbling
up boards and throwing back shots. And under Larry Brown, he's
even shown some flashes on offense. But where Wallace brings
huge value to the table is in three categories: rebounds, blocks and
steals. And when you consider the scarcity of the latter two and the
rarity of having a player who contributes so heavily in both, Wallace
gives you a huge leg up. And while Wallace is a miserable freethrow
shooter, unlike Shaq, he doesn't attempt nearly enough shots
to automatically traumatize your FT percentage.

Go Sox!!

I think Storm is right. What we´ll probably end up doing is sending Stark our player rankings for the last several rounds of the draft. Or maybe we can arrange a live chat the night before the season starts, and those who can´t make it will have to send in their rankings.

Jermaine O'Neal (IND) - Is Jermaine O'Neal a superstar who
doesn't get enough credit because he plays in Indianapolis? Or is
he a reasonably competent big man who has made a reputation
playing in a conference that's very short on reasonably competent
big men? Time will tell. Of course, to the roto player, it doesn't really
matter if he's an elite player, or if he's overrated and unlikely to lead
a team to a championship. You can still more or less bank on twenty-
and-ten from him every night.

see rc's pick below

hopefully factors like the BoSox breaking the curse and the earlier start than the original announced draft date threw people off.

at any rate, we'll keep it going the way it is so far and plan a chat draft for next wed or thurs PM. If you know you're going to be away from your computer for those nights, you had better start drawing up a pre-rank list now, otherwise you're getting whoever the idiots at yahoo think you should have.

Game 4 of the WS is Wed, Game 5* is Thurs. Draft will take place live during the game.

What date do we want to shoot for? I'd add a poll, but i fear the OT horde.

I hope we can get more picks done this weekend, but either day is fine with me.
