I never looked much into it previously, but doing some quick Googling it looks worse than, say, that whole Duke LaCrosse team thing. And three years in prison for that is almost nothing.
now that, I'm not sure what you mean. You do realize that the Duke Lacrosse trial was a complete farce, right? The Durham DA was disbarred for creating a case to essentially get is name out during his campaign that year.
That was kinda my point, although I'm sure that there were many less obviously-bullshit cases as well. I just didn't feel like finding one that was moderately ambiguous.
That's pretty much my take on this. I don't have much sympathy for a convicted rapist complaining his feelings were hurt. As for Ford, I must admit though, I laughed at a lot of the Ford shenanigans. However, it does piss a lot of people off here when I say I wasn't always perturbed by him, just mainly amused.He's a convicted rapist. Not many crimes are that foul. Fuck his tender sensibilities about his crime. He can GTFO and go home. Ford has been a blight on the city, so this whole fiasco is no surprise.

I've seen it his stand up is pretty horrible actually, and I was at a good upscale party when he did the ear thing, but he is in the Ray Rice category also.

The issue most people have with it is that it had NOTHING to do with the interview. He is traveling around promoting his stage show, a radio station either agrees to, or asks him, to come on their show to talk about his stage show. Then some guy wanting to make a name for himself brings up an entirely off topic subject with the sole intent of trying to get a rise out of him.
A day after Mr. Tyson had a high-profile meeting with Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, CP24 news anchor Nathan Downer asked him: “Some of your critics would say, ‘There’s a race for mayor. We know you’re a convicted rapist. This could hurt his campaign.’ How would you respond to that?

That was most likely a bs conviction that only happened because he was a celebrity. Either case, Tyson has come a long ways in maturing, and the newscaster is very fortunate he wasn't talking to the old mike tyson, which probably would have sent a right hook followed by a right uppercut to the sh!thead's face.
