Yeah dude Bolo Yueng is still walking around Hollywood roided up

All of these guys would have lost in a real fight to prime Bill Kazmaier who is the most functionally strongest man who ever lived

Even if Kazmaier was, what does that have to do with winning a fight ?

You just had to throw something out there that had nothing to do with the thread.

What else is new.

How is Tyson losing this poll? Tyson is twice the size of Lee, scary fast, and stupid strong. As far as I'm concerned, Tyson could tackle Lee and just squeeze.

But how would this be a fair fight? Bruce depending on his kicks more so than his punching. If this was a true brawl, Mike couldn't get close enough while avoiding kicks to land a knock out punch. But yeah, if strictly boxing, Mike would win there.

I think it has to be Tyson by default because I can't see Bruce Lee every voluntarily agreeing to fight him absent being abducted by Shao Khan to fight Mortal Kombat style. And why would he, Tyson is bigger faster stronger and more likely to resort to any dirty trick to win. Bruce seemed like a smarter guy who would decline a fight rather than put himself at risk of being severely hurt or even killed.

Bruce Lee was amazing, I'm a huge fan. Have seen all his movies many times. I studied Jeet Kune Do for a while with a teacher here in MN who was a student of Ted Wong. Hell, I took a trip to Seattle partially just to visit Bruce and Brandon's graves.

But Tyson is a monster. Bruce is a badass, but Tyson is a bigger badass.

Mike Tyson quote - "Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth". Bruce's plan is to kick Mike in the balls. First one makes the contact wins.

What it has to do with is Kaz was 350lbs lean and very athletic and would easily grab hold of either guy and slam them into something. Christ you are salty. Put me on ignore or something, sick of your negativity following me around.

For Bruce to win he would not kick Tyson in the balls, he'd kick him in the head. If Bruce could deliver a front snap kick to Tyson jaw it would be game over.

But,again, the odds of the happening isn't great.

Ugh, didn't they already do Donnie Yen vs. Western Boxer in Ip Man 2?

Since Ip Man 2 was a blatant rip off of Rocky IV, I'm predicting that Ip Man 3 is going to be Rocky V. -__-;

Ip Man 1 might be the best martial arts film of this century though. That 1 v. 10 scene.

Tyson would never land a punch, it'd be easily deflected. Keep in mind Lee trained with Ali who was the king of defense in boxing.

You realize that Lee loved streetfighting? He would intentionally streetfight when he was young. Lee would have the edge in speed and streetfighting to go with similar power punches and he knows how to kick. Tyson would be fucked.

The issue here is that Tyson has 0 training against defending his lower body against kicks or preventing take downs. Even Mike Tyson has said that boxer could only win against a MMA fighter if the boxer trains MMA.

Boxers fighting style is predicated on not getting kicked in the legs, the sides, etc. And blocked kicks to the arms is just going to lead to broken arms.

I think it's highly dependent on who gets the first hit in.

For Tyson, obviously he has quick closing speed and monstrous power. If Tyson corners Lee with those bowling balls, Lee is done for.

For Lee, his best bet is to take down Tyson by attacking his legs. Once Tyson is on the ground, Lee would open up a can of whoop ass. The other option is if Lee can wear down Tyson, whose stamina isn't that good. Lee has the quickness and ability to do either.

I may be biased but boxing is a less "complete" martial art for use in a street fight. Lee's styles incorporate all kinds of attacks for all kinds of situations. I'm going to have to say Lee.

Sure, and who's faster? lol it'd be like a cobra vs mongoose. One always wins because it's quicker and plays better D.

Lee was known to utilize eye gouging. Imagine the speed he could take your vision from you. You literally wouldn't even see it, but you'd feel it.

Tyson. Would only take one solid punch

Yep. Lee was not a fighter. He was an actor. He could probably have kicked all our asses, but not a professional.

That's why he and Chuck Norris never sparred. Chuck was a pro. He would have smoked Bruce.

Chuck has done a good job helping further the legend of his friend over the years, by dodging any questions of him vs Bruce, but he was finally asked in the right way and basically admitted that that he would have won. Interviewer asked if they ever sparred, and Chuck says "no", and is asked why he says "well, I was a pro" and the interviewer finished the question for him "and Lee was not" and Chuck agrees. Close as he's ever come to just saying outright that he'd have beaten Bruce.

Lee was a showman and an actor. And his fitness routine was phenomenal. He died young, so he became a legend, and it's really not a reputation that's deserved, at least with regards to his fighting prowess. It's ridiculous, really. He wouldn't have beaten any of the top martial artists of the day, none of the top ones now, nobody in MMA, and no pro boxers...at least, not just "as he was". Now could he have trained in any one of those sports and become competitive? Sure, it's possible. But as he was, no. He was an actor.

He had one fight, ever, and the results of that are HIGHLY contested...to the point where his opponent finally gave his account to a paper, and challenged Lee to a public fight if Lee disagreed with his version. Lee never said a word.

Exactly who was he "known for using eye gouging" on? He never fought anyone. One fight in his life, and the results were VERY contested. No video, and everyone had a different story about it. And the opponent wasn't blinded, either.

Every one of your fantasy prognostications has sucked and been filled with shit...so I'm just going to go with my earlier guess, still, and say that Lee certainly has no chance in hell.

...and I'm a big Bruce Lee homer. But no way in holy shit does Lee survive a no-rules bout with Tyson. Sorry. Thing is, as others have said: he's a smart fighter and would simply decline. He's not the type that lived in the fantasy world of pudgy and scrawny couch-surfing fantasy kids like us, assuming we know anything about anything. He knows that physics is real (and you should too, honestly--quite shameful that you don't)

Yes--Lee was one dirty motherfucker and one of the very real reasons that he refused many sanctioned fights is because there were too many rules. In Lee's philosophy: a fight is won by the combatant that disables their opponent. End of story. How one gets there; doesn't matter.

That being said, these were both some dirty motherfuckers. Tyson has to protect some quick nut shots if anything and regardless of Lee's known, and very real power, he never punched a mindless meatwall like Tyson that we know of. And Tyson could absorb some horrendous abuse...plus, he just doesn't give a fuck.

Tyson wipes the floor bloody with the Legend. Sorry.
