Mileage on a Toyota

Any car built within the last decade should last 200,000 miles with proper maintenance. I would have no qualms at all with buying a Toyota that had 135,000 miles as long as the car was in good shape and had been well taken care of. Of course, I also would not have any qualms about buying a Ford, Chevy, or even BMW with that mileage as long as it was in good shape. My 951 has over 160,000 miles on it and I don't worry about it.

There is usually a maintenance cycle around 120K where a few things will need to be replaced (brakes, timing belt if applicable, hoses, spark plugs, etc)...but nothing major....should go to at least 190ish before anything majore (radiator, water pump, etc might go).

yep. My dad's 94 ranger has just over 300K miles, my 94 escort had around 110K before I got tired of it, and my 99 contour had 140K before I sold it. I had a 97 Grand Prix GT that I wish I had never sold and it only had 60K miles on it. My 04 Tacoma has 50K now, but I'm thinking about getting rid of it for a fullsize 4x4 so I doubt I'll get to over 100K miles on it.

Watch out for sludge if you are buying a used Yota.
