68000 speeds
An Amiga 500 does a wholesome 1k/s. I think that works out as 1 block every 2 days <gulp>

and about that Amiga client, too bad I didn't keep my A500 with the BodegaBay and 68030/33 accelerator card

Dee67 Actually that 1k/s rate is for a 16Mhz 68000 cpu. I think the A500 cpus were 8Mhz, so that'd be 1 block every 4/5 days. Whoopee!
<68030/33 accelerator card > Yeah, I had an A1200 with a 68020/25 card and an additional 4mb of fast ram. Cost me £250 at the time...That rocked!!!!! Also had an 80Mb hard drive that had cost about £150.
Ahhhh the good ol' days, I think nostalgia is getting the better of me hehe
