Military ASVAB

I have been talking to a Coast Guard recruiter. Today I took the ASVAB for the first time. My non-official "rough" estimate score was 38. What is the requirements for each military branch?

Why not ask the recruiters?
If you took the test they already know about you anyway, its not like you are exposing yourself anymore.

Not a big deal. The ASVAB is like SAT/ACT. He can study for a bit, come back, take it again, he's good.

Dude look. Your question is what's called moot. Unless you have recently been possessed by Einstein's spirit I would consider another line of work. If you managed to get in and ever told anyone about your "38" you would spend your enlistment non-promotable and considered borderline retarded by your contemporaries and NCOs.

96 here. And I was the dumb one in ET A-school. Better invest in some Febreeze before you start cleaning out those tanks.

I got a much lower score but managed to get into Nuke ET school.
Failed out.
Chipped paint for 3 years.
Went to Advanced Electronics ET school and I was actually one of the smarter ones there.

I worked with a guy who had around a 19 or so. He was let in with an ASVAB waiver. Dumbest guy I've ever met in my life.

If that's actually what your ASVAB score is, Coast Guard is not an option; 42+ for Coast Guard.

However, since your original post consists of well formed sentences with no spelling errors, I believe that your self-reported score of "38" is in error. That people who claimed they scored a 95+ did not pick up on this fact makes me question whether their self-reported scores are accurate either.

edit: I take that back. It should be "what are the requirements" or "what is the requirement"

I'd not worry about it until you get the score, OP. I can tell you that the army & marines have lower requirements (big surprise) than the air force and navy, though all services have jobs for people at each end of the scale.
