The usual definition of Millennial that I've heard is anyone who was alive but a minor on January 1, 2000. This makes me an old Millennial. I grew up with a computer, but I knew almost no one else who had one until I was a teenager. I've found that there seems to be a line of birth around 1990 where I start losing commonalities with other Millennials.

Types => scans => OCRs => emails to self => screenshot on phone => posts to facebook => sips coffee in quiet triumph when lonely like appears.

I learned to type on a typewriter.

I don't think many millennials have even seen a typewriter.
LOL! I took typing as an elective in high school!

All of my resumes and college letters were typed on a typewriter bc I didn't have a computer, and laser printing was something that only businesses had (everyone else had dot matrix).

I still have an electric typewriter in my closet along with extra ribbon cartridges. I've not turned it on in at least 20 years.

The defining feature of a millennial is they grew up in an already internet saturated world.

I'd have to disagree with that. I'm a millennial, born in '88, and I distinctly remember the early Internet. I grew up on classic games, forums were very much a part of my upbringing. Didn't have a cell phone until I was almost an adult, and it was a simple flip phone.

I think people are confusing millennials with the generation that came after them.

Born in 88 as well. I remember the first time we got a computer and the first time we got the internet. It wasn't nearly as intriguing back then and didn't consume much of my life.

Most of my generation were obsessed with television. I blame Nickelodeon and Disney for lobotomizing most of my comrades. I didn't have cable and I hated commercials, so I played the hell out of SimCity and dicked around in my backyard.

Millennials are from 80/81 to 96/97, no one can really agree on an exact date but the youngest of them are in their 20's now. Myself being born in 82 makes me one of the older Millennials and I am using that to my advantage.

I miss the world before 9/11.

It's "roll call," not "role call."

I make the same stupid fucking mistake, you stupid fucking millennials.

*grumble grumble

At least I'm not a stupid fucking millennial though. Thank the lord Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and God almighty. Amen something or other.

Don't loose you're cool!

And shit like that is a perfect example why spell check makes people look *almost* as dumb as they've become.

Denial of being a millennial is exactly what a millennial would say.
Here's the thing though, I do things Millennial's don't. I drink black coffee, I still use a tower as my primary PC (not a tablet) I can change my oil, rotate my tires, build furniture with my hands, and I've rebuilt several car engines. I do my own yard work, eat steaks, and I have held a job since I was 16.

That's called poverty, not age.

I'm younger than you and do all those things except drink coffee and rebuild car engines. And I got my first job at 12 delivering papers. Try again.

Back in my day I was shoeing horses by the time I was 5, worked in a factory for 12 hours a day when I was 8, built houses when I was 12, and had my own farm and started a vineyard by the time I was 19. I drive and maintain an old Lincoln Phaeton. But I still walk 9 miles, uphill both ways, to get to the nearest store when I need supplies. I drink whiskey, wine, or water, not that fancy "black coffee" you young hipsters seem to be so proud of drinking. /old man voice
