No. I live in GA. Never, ever heard of her.
I'm sure you know what a Best Buy is though.

I sort of think the kids were in danger. The killing of the dog signals something beyond normal depression, I'm no expert but I don't think I've ever felt low enough to kill my dog. I know she'd get on just fine without me
You are delusional. Do you have any idea how hard it is for most people to know or hear of anyone other than Garth Brooks and Randy Travis if they don't actively seek out country music? Even being a mainstream country music star, you still live in a bubble as far as the rest of the public's consciousness goes. I thought country fans at least acknowledge that. I live in her state and never heard of her. Similarly, I live in Alan Jackson's home town but I haven't heard an Alan Jackson song or media mention in at least several years even though there are high school stadiums and highways named after him all around me. Hell, I just asked my sister from San Diego if she knows who Mindy McReady is or has ever heard the name and she said "no."Is this like"what is Best Buy?", where you really know what it is but act dumb because you think it's cool, or do you truly not know who Mindy Mcready is?
It's hard to tell.
man.. the dog, too?
It's very common for suicides to make sure the gun works by firing a test shot, iirc.
I live in Nashville and have never heard of this person. I'm pretty sure that means you actually have to be a country music fan, or else the name would at least ring a bell with me.
I would add Vince Gill to the above post. And maybe Toby Keith. Otherwise, I got no fuckin' clue.
edit: also Billy Ray Cyrus. Somehow he did not immediately die after 'Achy Breaky Heart' faded out, as he obviously should've. Apparently no one told his heart. His achy breaky heart.
Seriously. No one in their right mind like country music

There's a different world out there than yours where everyone cares about country music personalities.
My post was mostly addressing SheHatesHerselfs "I don't know what ____ is..." idiocy more than being in disbelief that people hadn't heard of her.
ok.
You seem pressed about it. Why don't you tell us all what she's famous for. I am not the only person in the thread that responded with "Who?"
I don't know why you are so hard up about the Best Buy comment. It was just a joke about how much Best Buy has become a feature of Amazon over the years.
Lighten up.
Sorry your country singer died.

Straight up, i didnt know who she ws.
Never heard of her either, sounds like her life was quite a train wreck. Suicide is a damn selfish thing to do, especially leaving behind two kids.
And yeah, why the dog?
