I got a new keyboard and I really miss the macro keys from my Logitech G710+, I Googled and I see a bunch of devices geared towards gamers. I don't need 30 keys and would like something on the smaller size. Something with even just a row or 2 of like 5-10 buttons each you can program to launch apps or run macros or something.

Is that something you could do with an app that assigns it to the F-keys or are you already using or lack those? Otherwise there's probably also something you can do with key combinations such as CTRL-(whatever key) to multipurpose the keys you have.

I could make macros in my new keyboards software. But they would have to be like CTRL+F10 or whatever. On my G710+ I had the six dedicated ones right where my left hand rests. I know my keyboard's software doesn't support switching profiles based off what program is opened. Maybe there's a 3rd party one that would do this, that's something I could look into. But, I'd still have to to set up multi key actions for my macros or launching programs. And I'd havr to take my hand off my mouse for a lot of the key combos. I found the Streamdeck, they have one with 6 buttons and the software can do a lot. Kind of pricey for what I want to use it for though.
