we've known the results of this election for 6 weeks why the fuck is this guy still able to do anything at all?

This goes back to the argument of neutering Lame Ducks at the very least. But I would prefer drastically shortening the transition period. I see no reason for an election confirmation process to take two months. This year it won't be over until at least January 6th.

Michael J Fox gives an excellent speech on this.
If you keep cutting guys loose who are short then that dismissal becomes the new short and it just keeps going and going until eventually no one ever serves.
