It was in my circle of friends among those that probably make 5-10x my annual salary or more.

Lol...no. My salary has been on a rapid progression since even 16. However; I did take a major step back when I switched professions and came out of college at a bad time for computer guys and then working for a mortgage company/homebuilder hit a 4 year salary freeze when the bubble broke.

The last time I had a <$60k year was decades ago.

It also gives you the power to be generous. Publix has their Bronze/Silver/Gold meals up now at check out where you can provide a nice batch of food for someone in need.

My salary gives me the ability to buy a few each time I am there and with the kids now in my life that is 2 times a week usually. I need a bigger fridge, but my kitchen was designed for a max of 18cu ft that's out now.

You do realize I was the one that took my bank to court right?

I am in a fucked up situation where I was paying them and they were reporting me delinquent.

Sadly at the end of the day I may still have to move out of here and there will be nothing that will make me whole over the credit hit they cost me. Fortunately, credit isn't that important to me as far as needing credit cards and the like.

The worst part is this process moves slow. It's been nearly 3 years and we've only had 3 court dates.

My house was 1/3 of original value and I was still paying my mortgage properly doing the 'right' thing.

It really sucks having that instability out there...if I didn't have my pets I wouldn't sweat it, but renting and having pets is hard.

Check your notes, I didn't neglect to pay...they neglected to apply my payments for three years so I stopped paying and sued them.

No it was more like talking in private about something like flying to NYC and picking up just material things, blowing $500 on a dinner for two .... then someone around saying "wow!" or "bullshit!". They'd sort of laugh and say "MINO".
