That's the first thing I said when my gf told me about this. I mean, it's Steve Harvey. Youtube is filled with him gaffing and overreacting to things.

I watched pieces of it but missed that ending. It is funny though--whenever you see these international contests, or are in an international audience, the Filipinos are all nuts. Those folks love the holy shit out of their country!

They love Paqiuoua, they love that little 8 year old girl that can mostly sing more than-decently, but they really really really love it when some announcer just says their country.

Anyway, she seemed like the proper winner anyway. It's funny, though, that the contestants were all pretty much in one of two categories of either being white and anglo, or some mix of anglo and mostly spanish/hispanic characteristics.

so? i'd argue that gives him more relevant experience than those that never have more than 1 or 2 relationships--or marriages.

I had read about this last night but just saw the video now. I hadn't realized it went on this long - the whole congratulations, etc. went on for minutes before the corrective announcement. Just bizarre. Honestly, Steve Harvey, how hard is it to read a few words off a card?

What choice did he have? What was the alternative - fleeing the stage? I agree he handled it as well as he could under the circumstances, but it was a colossal fuckup to begin with. I am at a loss to see how the card he was reading from could have been any clearer.
