Sometimes the news obsesses over something, despite nobody actually caring. Once in awhile I'll be channel surfing and run into E! or something, and they're doing yet another damn Anna Nicole Smith story. Did anyone even really care that she died in the first place? Not really. So why do they keep pushing her in everyone's face? I guess to fill airtime, since they have little enough to show in the first place, other than fawning over what celebrities wore to some awards show.

well... i'm guessing her family cares.

but the reality is most people want this stuff. people complain about it but they still want it.

it's like people complaining about MTV not having music videos anymore... but the reality is a rerun of Real World or Road Rules or whatever will ALWAYS get more ratings than music videos. i have friends at MTV and they've said even though people complain about it the data just doesn't back it up.

..stopped watching network news years ago. Their action line is always bad news..gloom and doom. They love the global warming crap. Every unseasonal warm/cold day is evidence in their bent view.
